LRT-1 Roosevelt Station Destinations

It's very comforting in our part that we know what landmarks and establishments are located near our LRT and MRT stations, especially if we're talking about a train station that serves intersection of two major thouroughfares like EDSA and Roosevelt Avenue. So as you can see, I had started posting destinations in LRT Stations by creating first post on this subject on November 29, 2010 entitled "LRT-1 Monumento Station Destinations".

Today I'm gonna take you to important places that you can just walk right up to after getting off the train at Roosevelt Station of LRT-1. Here they are:

• Walter Mart
• S&R Membership Shopping
• Munoz Market
• Meralco
• Lemon Square
• Fast Food Chains e.g. McDonald, Jollibee, Chowking, Tropical Hut
• Rosas Traveler's Inn
• Bus Ride to Novaliches via C-5
• Jeepney Ride to San Francisco del Monte
• Pawnshops

Walter Mart gives utmost convenience for those people driving car going to Carriedo or Divisoria but don't want to take their car to those congested areas. The huge Mall serves as "park & ride" for drivers who like quick shopping in Carriedo. It's more practical if you only buy some hand carry and head back home. Parking area of Walter Mart is in the basement. Entrance is along EDSA and another one at the back of the Mall. Parking fee is 20 pesos first 2 hours and 10 pesos per hour hereafter.

Munoz Market is located along Roosevelt Avenue near corner EDSA. Roosevelt Avenue ends up in EDSA, and its opposite road is Congressional Avenue where the pawnshops are located. All food chains I have mentioned are visible from the corner of EDSA and Roosevelt-Congressional. The huge Membership Shopping Club of S&R can be seen from the distance of EDSA-Congressional intersections.
