How To Get To DFA Office Of Consular Affairs Via Bus Or MRT/LRT Train.
If you're going to DFA for passport application or renewal, the exact address is DFA Office of Consular Affairs, Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard corner Bradco Avenue, Paranaque City. Yes, its under the jurisdiction of Paranaque. It's just near to Paranaque-Pasay boundary.
There's a pay parking area located at the other corner of Bradco and Macapagal opposite DFA.
In this guide are driving directions from different parts of Metro Manila to DFA. But before that, please familiarize yourself with four main thoroughfares through which you can drive on your way to DFA depending on where you'll be coming from:
Four Road Directions Headed To DFA
Direction #1 - Via EDSA
Take EDSA's southbound lane all the way to Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard, passing by MRT-3 Magallanes Station and the last station which is Taft, and passing under Roxas Boulevard flyover that crosses EDSA. Next main intersection with traffic lights after Roxas Boulevard is Macapagal Blvd. You must change lane to the left immediately after the U-Turn slot next to Roxas Boulevard. Turn left on Macapagal Boulevard. First main intersection with traffic lights along Macapagal Boulevard is Bradco. DFA is to the left but there's no left turn from Macapagal to Bradco. Turn right onto wide Bradco Avenue, then make a U-Turn, and go cross Macapagal Boulevard. To the right corner is the pay parking entrance. To the left corner is the DFA Office of the Consular Affairs building.
Direction #2 - Via Roxas Boulevard
Take Roxas Boulevards's south bound lane all the way past Baclaran Redemptorist Church and turn right onto the wide road to the right of Roxas Boulevard called Bradco Avenue. Macapagal Boulevard is the first main intersection with traffic lights from Roxas Blvd. To the right corner is the DFA. To the left corner is the entrance to the pay parking area. There's no center island on Bradco Avenue. Just carefully make a left towards the parking entrance.
Direction #3 - Via NAIA Road aka MIA Road
Cross Roxas Boulevard and turn right onto Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard. First main intersection along Macapagal Boulevard is Aseana Avenue. Next to it is Bradco Avenue. Simply turn right onto Bradco Avenue and enter the Parking Area. Opposite, to the other corner is the building of DFA Office of Consular Affairs.
Direction #4 - Via Pablo Ocampo Sr. and CCP Complex
From Pablo Ocampo Sr Street aka Vito Cruz, cross Roxas Boulevard to take CCP Complex. Drive all the way past CCP Theater until you get to the Tanghalang Francisco Balagtas (Folk Arts Theater) building. Go left on the road that goes to PICC which is located along Vicente Sotto Street. Turn left again on Vicente Sotto. Turn right onto next street which is Magdalena Jaloandoni. Drive all the way to DFA. Magdalena Jalandoni becomes Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard after it crosses Gil Puyat Avenue where World Trade Center is situated to the left corner. First main crossing with traffic lights is EDSA where Petron Station and Blue Wave Macapagal is located to the right corner. Go cross EDSA, drive all the way until the main intersection with traffic lights of Bradco Avenue. DFA is to the left corner. No let turn to Bradco. Turn right onto Bradco, then make a U-Turn, cross Macapagal and enter the Pay Parking Entrance to the right corner of Bradco and Macapagal.
Driving Directions From Different Locations
Route #1
From Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela and areas nearby including Monumento via Jose Abad Santos Avenue.
Take Jose Abad Santos Avenue, all the way crossing Recto Avenue. Road name becomes Reina Regente after Recto Avenue. Stay on Reina Regente until you get to Plaza Lorenzo Ruiz. Go with the flow of one way traffic in Plaza Lorenzo Ruiz by going right theh immediately left. You're now in one way Juan LUna Street. Follow direction of public jeepneys, turning left on San Vicente Street, the road next to Dasmarinas Street, then turn right onto Jones Bridge. Drive all the way along Padre Burgos, the road connected to Jones Bridge that crosses Pasig River. Cross main intersection with traffic lights where Manila City Hall is situated to the left. Stay on P. Burgos, avoid Lagusnilad Tunnel. Padre Burgos bends to the right. Turn left on Roxas Boulevard and drive all the way until you get to CCP Complex with road sign reads CCP Complex. Turn right onto CCP Complex and follow direction at Direction #4 above. Alternatively, you can take Roxas Boulevard all the way to DFA, just go cross CCP Complex and follow direction given in Direction #2 of Four Road Directions Headed To DFA.
Route #2
From Novaliches, Quirino Highway, Balintawak, Bagong Barrio, NLEX, A. Bonifacio Avenue and areas nearby. This is the route to take if you're driving from Bulacan, Pampanga and other provinces north of Metro Manila.
Take NLEX if your from north of Metro Manila, e.g. Novaliches, Quirino Avenue, Pampanga, Bulacan, etc. Drive all the way past Cloverleaf Interchange in Balintawak until you traverse A. Bonifacio Avenue. From Bagong Barrio and Balintawak use the Cloverleaf to take A. Bonifacio Avenue. Stay to the middle of A. Bonifacio Avenue and drive all the way to its other end which is in Blumentritt where to the right corner of Blumentritt and A. Bonifacio is the Manila North Cemetery. Turn right onto Blumentritt. Change lane to the left of Blumentritt and drive past Dimasalang, a T-intersection to the left of Dimasalang, towards Aurora Boulevard road sign that you will immediately see. It's approximately 300 meters from A. Bonifacio to Aurora Boulevard. Make a sharp 'left turn' to wide Aurora Boulevard. In Aurora Boulevard, change your lane to the rightmost and turn right onto Dimasalang Street. Dimasalang ends up in Lacson Avenue. Next road to take is Laong Laan, the road to the other side of Lacson. Cross Lacson Avenue and take Laon Laan which ends in Alfonso Mendoza Street also known as Quezon Boulevard. Turn left on Alfonso Mendoza Street and drive all the way to Quiapo, passing through Quezon Boulevard Underpass. Cross Pasig River via Quezon Bridge and follow the road which becomes Padre Burgos as it bends to the left. Cross main intersection with traffic lights where Manila City Hall is situated to the left. Stay on P. Burgos, avoid Lagusnilad Tunnel. P. Burgos bends to the right. Turn left on Roxas Boulevard and drive all the way to Bradco Avenue. Follow direction given in Direction #2 of Four Road Directions Headed To DFA.
Route #3
From SM North EDSA, Trinoma, North Avenue, West Avenue, Del Monte and areas nearby.
When the Araneta Avenue-Quezon Avenue is constructed, you can take West Avenue and Quezon Avenue and drive all the way to Quiapo.
Since it's still being constructed, here's the alternate route. Turn right onto Del Monte Avenue, a T intersection to the right of West Avenue. Drive on Del Monte Avenue all the way and cross Gregorio Araneta Avenue and another intersection with traffic lights which is Sto. Domingo Street. Then turn left on the next street which is Biak na Bato. Cross main intersections of N.S. Amoranto Sr. Avenue and Maria Clara, respectively as well as small roads between them. Then, turn right onto Dapitan Street. Drive all the way on Dapitan down to its other end which is in Alfonso Mendoza Street which becomes Quezon Boulevard. Turn left on Alfonso Blvd and drive all the way to Quiapo passing through Quezon Boulevard underpass. From Quiapo, cross Pasig River via Quezon Bridge and follow the road which becomes Padre Burgos as it bends to the left. Cross main intersection with traffic lights where Manila City Hall is situated to the left. Stay on P. Burgos, avoid Lagusnilad Tunnel. P. Burgos bends to the right. Turn left on Roxas Boulevard and drive all the way to Bradco Avenue. Follow direction given in Direction #2 of Four Road Directions Headed To DFA.
Route #4
From Fairview, UP Diliman, UP Ayala Technohub, Elliptical Road, Philcoa, Commonwealth, Quezon City Hall and other areas nearby.
When the construction of Quezon Avenue-Araneta Avenue is finished, you can drive all the way to Quiapo via Quezon Avenue, Espana, Lerma and Quezon Boulevard.
Since it's still under construction, to avoid traffic you can use an alternate route. After passing through EDSA-Quezon Avenue Underpass, turn right onto Examiner Street. Drive all the way to West Avenue and turn left. In West Avenue, turn right onto Del Monte Avenue. Drive all the way to the other end of Del Monte which is in A. Bonifacio Avenue. Turn left on A. Bonifacio Avenue and drive all the way to where it ends which is in Blumentritt. Turn right onto Blumentritt. Change lane to the left of Blumentritt and drive past Dimasalang, a T-intersection to the left of Dimasalang, towards Aurora Boulevard road sign that you will immediately see. It's approximately 300 meters from A. Bonifacio to Aurora Boulevard. Make a sharp 'left turn' to wide Aurora Boulevard. In Aurora Boulevard, change your lane to the rightmost and turn right onto Dimasalang Street. Dimasalang ends up in Lacson Avenue. In Quiapo, cross Pasig River via Quezon Bridge and follow the road which becomes Padre Burgos as it bends to the left. Cross main intersection with traffic lights where Manila City Hall is situated to the left. Stay on P. Burgos, avoid Lagusnila Tunnel. P. Burgos bends to the right. Turn left on Roxas Boulevard and drive all the way until you get to CCP Complex with road sign that reads CCP Complex. Turn right onto CCP Complex to follow direction at Direction #4 of Four Road Directions Headed To DFA above. Alternatively, you can take Roxas Blvd. all the way to DFA, just follow Direction #2, but not on Wednesdays.
Route #5
From Cavite City, Tagaytay, Imus, Dasmarinas, and other areas in the province of Cavite.
Take Cavitex and drive all the way to NAIA Road also known as MIA Road. Upon approach to NAIA Road, change your lane to the left then turn left on NAIA Road and turn right onto Diosdado Macapagal Blvd. Follow direction given at Direction #3 of Four Road Directions Headed To DFA above.
Route #6
From Sucat, Dr. Santos Avenue, SM Sucat, Ninoy Aquino Avenue, Imelda Avenue and areas near these thoroughfares.
Take Dr. Santos Avenue and drive all the way without any turn up to to NAIA Road where the road ends. Turn left on NAIA Road, cross Roxas Boulevard and follow direction given at Direction #3 of Four Road Directions Headed To DFA above.
Route #8
From Alabang-Zapote Road.
Take Coastal Road also known now as Cavitex all the way to NAIA Road. Upon approach to NAIA Road, change lane to the left and turn left on NAIA Road then turn right onto Diosdado Macapagal Blvd. Follow direction given in Direction #3 of Four Road Directions Headed To DFA above.
Route #9
From Rockwell, Bel-Air, Guadalupe, Greenbelt, Glorietta, Pasay Road aka Arnaiz Avenue, and other areas in Makati CBD.
From Guadalupe, take EDSA's southbound lane. From Rockwell, take Estrella and turn right onto EDSA's southbound lane. From Bel-Air, take Gil Puyat Avenue and turn right onto EDSA. From Greenbelt and Glorietta, take Ayala, turn right onto EDSA, use Ayala Tunnel. From Pasay Road, turn right onto EDSA. Take EDSA's southbound lane all the way to Macapagal Blvd, follow direction in Direction #1 of Four Road Directions Headed To DFA above.
Route #10
From Kalentong in Mandaluyong, Tejeron, San Andres Bukid, Pedro Gil, Paco and nearby areas.
Take Pedro Gil Street, then, take President Quirino Avenue's southbound lane by turning right onto Quirino and use the U-Turn in Plaza Dilaw. Drive all the way to Roxas Blvd. Turn left on Roxas Blvd and drive all the way to Baclaran except on Wednesdays. Follow Direction #2 given in Four Road Directions Headed To DFA above. On Wednesdays or whenever Roxas Blvd is traffic-clogged, use CCP Complex direction, just follow direction in Direction #4 given in Four Road Directions Headed To DFA above.
Route 11
From Old Sta. Mesa, SM City Sta. Mesa, N. Domingo in San Juan and nearby areas.
From SM City Sta. Mesa, take Araneta Avenue and turn right onto N. Domingo Street. From N. Domingo Quezon City and N. Domingo San Juan including Pinaglabanan and Flying V Oil Arena San Juan, take N. Domingo's southbound lane. Drive on N. Domingo until road name change to Old Sta. Mesa. Drive on Old Sta Mesa crossing busy intersection with traffic lights called V. Mapa, and then make a U-Turn onto Valenzuela Street, a road intersecting Old Sta Mesa in an inverted Y. Note: You can make a shortcut to Valenzuela Street by passing through Prince Court Hotel driveway. You will notice lots of motorists turning left onto the hotel. Drivers give one peso to an employee of the hotel in-charge at the driveway. Upon exit of the hotel driveway, turn left and then change lane to the right. Next T-intersection to the right is Paco-Sta Mesa Road, where Sta Mesa Bridge is located. Turn right onto Paco-Sta Mesa Road, pass through Sta Mesa Bridge and take the flyover next to the bridge. Turn right onto President Quirino Avenue and immediately make a U-Turn to take Pres. Quirino Avenue's southbound lane. Drive all the way to Roxas Blvd. Turn left on Roxas Blvd and drive all the way to Baclaran except on Wednesdays. Follow Direction #2 given in Four Road Directions Headed To DFA above. On Wednesdays or whenever Roxas Blvd is traffic-clogged, use CCP Complex direction, just follow direction in Direction #4 given in Four Road Directions Headed To DFA above.
Route #12
From Harrison Plaza, La Salle Taft, Estrada Street and nearby areas.
From Estrada Street, left to Taft Avenue. From Taft Avenue in front of La Salle, take Taft southbond. Turn right onto Pablo Ocampo Street aka Vito Cruz. From Harrison Plaza and Rizal Memorial Sports Complex, take P. Ocampo. Drive all the way to Roxas Boulevard. Now, you have two options. Either turning left to Roxas Blvd and follow Directions #2 in Four Road Directions Headed To DFA above or cross Roxas Boulevard to take CCP Complex route, Direction #4, indicated in Four Road Directions Headed To DFA above. I personally prefer Roxas Blvd except on Wednesdays. There are no intersections with traffic lights, thanks to two flyovers, it's a continues drive. In Direction #4, you need to bear with the long wait on EDSA-Macapagal Boulevard.
