Drive Directions to NAIA-1-2-3 Via NAIA Expressway

Driving to NAIA Terminals 1,2 and 3 is now in a breeze, thanks to the newly built NAIA Airport Skyway which opens this September. It is the first ever Philippines' airport expressway project. In this motorist guide, you will know how to get to your NAIA Terminal by using or passing through NAIA Expressway aka NAIAX from your location. To sum up, this is the new Driving Directions to NAIA Terminal 1, new Driving Directions to NAIA Terminal 2, new Driving Directions to NAIA Terminal 3 which are now consolidated into one drive direction guide.

NAIA Airport Expressway (NAIAX) Entrance/Exit Ramps

Macapagal Blvd - Entrance ramp is located in southbound lane of Macapagal Blvd after Aseana Blvd and before cor NAIA Rd Ext. The usual green-colored overhead directional sign that you will see reads "AIRPORT SKYWAY" and it is located on the leftmost of the entire southbound lane. So you must change your lane to the leftmost after crossing Bradco Ave and Aseana Ave. Macapagal Blvd entrance ramp is for motorist coming from: Roxas Blvd, CCP Complex, Bonifacio Drive, Intramuros, Manila Hotel, Ermita, Malate, etc and CAMANAVA. Regular route to take from Mall of Asia, MOA Arena, Aseana City, Blue Bay Walk, etc. In going back from the airport, exit ramp goes down to northbound Macapagal and you need to be in the middle of NAIAX as you exit and avoid the lane of Entertainment City which is the rightmost lane.

Entertainment City - These entrance and exit ramps are dedicated to motorists coming in and out of Entertainment City. Located at New Seaside Dr near corner Macapagal Blvd. New Seaside Dr is the extension of NAIA Road. There is no fork or ramp to other direction upon entrance to NAIAX from Entertainment City so you will not get confused. But upon exit from NAIAX, you must change to the rightmost lane if you're going to Entertainment City. There are road signs and one reads Entertainment City but still if you're going fast and you're in the middle or leftmost lane, you might end up in the wrong lane. The entrance ramp from Entertainment City is an excellent alternate to Macapagal entrance ramp if you're coming from Diokno Blvd, SM Mall of Asia, MOA Arena, Senate Bldg, Philippine Plaza Hotel, CCP Complex, etc as you get to avoid the traffic and traffic lights along Macapagal Blvd. While in Diokno Blvd, cross Aseana Ave and enter Entertainment City, drive past the prominent Okada Manila and follow the road until you see the entrance ramp of NAIAX.

Andrews Ave - Located between Newport City and NAIA Terminal 3 along Andrews Ave, these entrance and exit ramps are for motorists going to and from NAIA Terminals 1 & 2, Entertainment City, Cavite and Macapagal Blvd. But you will only need to use the Andrews Ave entrance ramp if you're coming from SLEX, Osmena Highway, BGC, Makati and other nearby areas and not passing through Skyway. Likewise, use the Andrews Ave exit ramp if you're not going to use Skyway in heading to your destination via SLEX or Osmena Highway from Terminal 1&2, Entertainment City, etc. Andrews Ave exit of NAIAX is under the road sign "SLEX Makati BGC". If you're going to use Skyway to and from NAIAX, use the Skyway Connector. You don't need to use NAIAX if your destination is Terminal 3 from either SLEX or Skyway in this route. Just take Andrews Ave and take the roundabout to Terminal 3.

Skyway Connector - The route to take via Skyway to Terminal 1 or 2 or 3 from either: South of MM: SLEX, Alabang, Muntinlupa, CALABARZON and the rest of Southern Tagalog and South Luzon or North of MM: NLEX, EDSA's northern part, Quezon City, CAMANAVA and the rest of north and central Luzon.. On the Skyway, take the lane under road signs "NAIA Terminals 1-2-3"/"NAIA Expressway" to exit the skyway. Somewhere in the exit ramp, the Skyway ends and the connector to NAIAX extends the ramp. There's a fork in the connector. Choose your lane - "Terminal 3" or "Terminal 1&2". The ramp to NAIA 3 goes down to Andrews Ave while the connector merges to NAIAX lane bound for Terminal 1&2 (and Entertainment City.) Once in the NAIAX on your way to T1 and T2, drive is smooth. Just pay attention to road signs above and up ahead to get to your destination - Terminal 1, Terminal 2, Entertainment City, etc. Make sure you're on the right lane. In going back from Terminal 1&2, take the NAIA Expressway all the way to Skyway if you're going to use Skyway. If not, use the Andrews Ave exit. It is the leftmost lane past toll plaza and under road signs "SLEX BGC" and "Makati Alabang" of NAIAX in front of Terminal 3.

CAVITEX - These entrance and exit ramps of NAIA Expressway are located in the northern end of Manila-Cavite Expressway, most popularly known as CAVITEX. Entrance ramp of NAIAX from CAVITEX is specifically situated along leftmost northbound lane of CAVITEX meters away before the intersection of NAIA Rd. Exit ramp to CAVITEX is specifically starts at the rightmost westbound lane of NAIAX past the fork for "Terminals 1&2" and "Entertainment City" if you're coming from Terminal 3/SLEX/SKYWAY and past the fork for "Terminal 3" and "Entertainment City" if you're coming from Terminal 1 or Terminal 2. CAVITEX Exit/Entrance served motorists from: the province of Cavite that include Tagaytay City, Dasmarinas, Amadeo as well as some parts of Batangas near Cavite border.

NAIA Rd - This ramp, located at westbound lane of NAIA Rd past cor of Ninoy Aquino Ave, is the one that connects NAIA Terminals 1&2 to Terminal 3. But you can also use it if your coming from: Sucat, Multinational Village, Moonwalk, Duty Free Philippines Fiesta Mall, etc and headed to Terminal 3 via Dr Santos Ave, Ninoy Aquino Ave or Multinatinal Ave. From those places just turn left onto NAIA Rd and immediately change lane to the rightmost.

How to get to a NAIA terminal from NAIA Expressway

Depending on where you enter the NAIA Expressway or which entrance ramp you use except NAIA Rd, heading to your terminal destination is no issue as signs are there to guide you. Nevertheless, below are directions to each terminal of NAIA from all entrance ramps of the airport expressway:

From Macapagal Blvd - Take the NAIAX ramp which is located at the leftmost lane of the southbound Macapagal Blvd. Soon your lane will merge to the one coming from Entertainment City as your lane turns left. Then Cavitex ramp will merge up ahead above Roxas Blvd. Now this is where you must pay attention as the expressway firstly forks to left which is headed to "NAIA Terminal 3" before it forks to right which is headed to "Terminal 1" while the remaining lane goes straight to "Terminal 2". So if your destination is Terminal 3, make sure you're on the leftmost lane of NAIAX to take the fork below road sign "Terminal 3" and if your destination is Terminal 1, make sure you're on the rightmost lane of NAIAX and take the second fork under the road sign "Terminal 1" while if your destination is Terminal 2, take the lane that goes straight below the road sign "Terminal 2" which goes down to NAIA Rd. If you're taking the route to Terminal 3, watch for road sign "Terminal 3" to avoid taking wrong lanes which will take you to any of the following: Skyway, Andrews Ave and SLEX.

From Entertainment City - Your landmark in Entertainment City is Okada Manila. The road in front of Okada is New Seaside Dr and it is headed to NAIAX ramp. From SM MOA Complex and Diokno Blvd cross Aseana Ave, take the roundabout and head toward Okada which is seen from afar. Drive past the frontage of Okada, stay on that road, New Seaside Dr, until you get to the NAIAX ramp. NAIAX first forks to left which is headed to "Terminal 3". If your destination is Terminal 3, stay to the leftmost lane immediately after entering NAIAX. Next fork is to the right and it's headed to "Terminal 1". So if your destination is Terminal 1, stay to the rightmost lane and follow the fork which is under road sign "Terminal 1" while under "Terminal 2" road sign (left handside) is the remaining lane that goes straight and is headed to "Terminal 2". So, if your destination is Terminal 2, stay on the main lane.

From CAVITEX - As Cavitex entrance ramp merges to NAIA expressway above NAIA Rd and Roxas Blvd intersection, you get to take the specific lane headed to a particular NAIA Terminal much faster after entering the NAIAX. Just remember these: For Terminal 3, you must immediately change lane to the leftmost and take the first fork under "Termianl 3" road sign and then watch for next overhead "Terminal 3" road sign. For Terminal 1, take the next fork which is to the right. Finally, for Terminal 2, take the straight lane. There are road signs for both Terminals - left hand side is Terminal 2, right hand side is terminal 1.

From Skyway - After exiting either southbound or northbound Skyway at "NAIA Expressway"/"NAIA 1-2-3" Exit, the connector to NAIAX will fork. Under "Terminal 3" road sign, if that is your destination, the ramp will take you down to Andrews Ave and then a big roundabout. Take the lane in the roundabout with directional sign pointing to Terminal 3 and follow that lane. Taking the lane under "Terminal 1&2" road sign as the connector merges to NAIAX, next fork is to the left and it is under "Entertainment City" and "Macapagal Blvd" sign, while the main lane has "Teminal 1&2" road sign above it. So, you must be driving to the rightmost lane all the time while taking the NAIAX. Last fork is to the right for "Terminal 1" and the main lane goes straight to "Terminal 2". Just choose the lane under either "Terminal 2" road sign (left hand side) or "Terminal 1" sign (right hand side.)

From Andrews Ave - You will take this route if you're coming from SLEX without passing through SKYWAY. This is also the route to take from BGC and Makati via Lawton Ave, Chino Roces, Sales Bridge and Sales Rd which becomes Andrews Ave as the road turns right. If your destination is Terminal 3, no need to take NAIAX. Just take Andrews Ave and the roundabout up ahead and follow direction to Terminal 3. If your destination is either Terminal 1 or Terminal 2, take the Andrews Ave entrance ramp of NAIAX and follow direction given for motorists using Skyway (From Skyway.)

Driving Directions to NAIA Terminals 1-2-3 via Airport Skyway aka NAIA Expressway

Route #1

Via Roxas Blvd from Intramuros, Manila Hotel, Rizal Park, Luneta, South & North Harbor (Pier), Delpan, Lucky Chinatown Mall, Divisoria, Ongpin, Tondo, Caloocan and nearby areas. NOTE: This is Option 1 for those coming from CAMANAVA.

From your location head towards Roxas Blvd. From CAMANAVA use Rizal Ave or Abad Santos Ave towards Lawton then Roxas Blvd. Now in Roxas Blvd drive all the way past Manila Yacht Club. Turn right onto CCP Complex. Drive all the way to the tip of the road where Tanghalang Francisco Balagtas aka Folk Arts Theater is located. Make left and drive to the road tip where opposite is PICC. That intersection is Vicente Sotto.

Option 1. Turn left onto Vicente Sotto then immediately turn right onto Magdalena Jalandoni. That road will become Macapagal Blvd once you cross Buendia where World Trace Center is located. Now stay to the middle of Macapagal and drive all the way past Seaside Blvd, EDSA and Bradco Ave. Change lane to the leftmost past Aseana Ave to take the entry ramp of NAIA Expressway. Choose the lane under sign of Airport Skyway.

Option 2. This is used to avoid traffic in Macapagal Blvd/EDSA intersection. Turn right onto Vicente Sotto. Turn left at the end of the road, Drive past Hotel Sofitel Philippine Plaza and the old bldg of Manila Film Center. You will cross intersection of Buendia Ext and road now you're taking J.W. Diokno Blvd. Drive past Senate bldg and all the way to Mall of Asia. Drive past Mall of Asia passing through the big roundabout of Globe Rotunda. Turn left at Coral Way which is next to MOA Arena and turn right onto Macapagal Blvd. Drive past Bradco Ave and Aseana Ave until you see the entry ramp of NAIA Expressway under sign Airport Skyway.

Route #2

Via Skyway from North & South of Metro Manila, i.e., North: CAMANAVA (Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela), Bulacan, Novaliches, Balintawak and nearby areas. South: Alabang, Muntinlupa, Pacita, Laguna, Batangas, Festival Mall, Filinvest City and areas nearby. Note: This is second option for those coming from CAMANAVA. For areas where skyway is not yet completed take the ground level road, i.e., Bonifacio Dirve, Quirino Ave, etc.

Route #3

Via CAVITEX from Cavite, Tagaytay some parts of Batangas near Tagaytay as well as areas near Alabang Zapote Rd in MM and other areas of Paranaque and Las Pinas near to Cavitex.

Simply take CAVITEX either from Alabang-Zapote Rd or Tirona Highway and take the NAIA Expressway entrance ramp located before NAIA Rd in Paranaque. Once in the expressway change lane according to your terminal destination, i.e., Terminal 1, Terminal 2, Terminal 3.

Route #4

Via NAIA Rd to Terminal 3 only from Sucat, BF Homes, Paranaque, Las Pinas, Multinational Village, Moonwalk, Duty Free Philippines Fiesta Mall, etc. Take Dr A Santos Ave until its name changes to Ninoy Aquino Ave. Drive all the way to the road's end changing lane to the left. Turn left onto NAIA Rd and immediately take the rightmost lane to take the NAIA Rd entry ramp. Once in the Airport Skyway, take the lane under the sign of "Terminal 3."

NAIA Expressway Toll Fees

From Entertainment City to Terminal 3: Php 45 for car, Php 90 for bus and Php 134 for truck. Minimum toll fees are Php 35 for car and Php 69 for bus.

Airport Loop: Where to Ride & Alight to and from NAIA Terminals

NAIA Shuttle Bus got a new look and a new name. It is now called Airport Loop. And to make it easy for commuters to identify the bus headed to NAIA-3 among many others inside Pasay Rotunda bus terminal, all airport loop buses have big signage on their both sides that reads Airport Loop. There is also big banner sign located where an Airport Loop bus parks to load passengers.

There are two kinds of buses that served as Airport Loop. There's the one with all white outer body color with black signage that reads 'Airport Loop' on its both sides (photo below.) This one is the offshoot of the all white NAIA shuttle buses that preceded airport loops.

The second one is the bus owned by HM Transport, Inc. Body color is orange and on its both sides printed is 'HM Transport Inc Airport Loop' (photo above.) These buses are bigger ones compare to the white ones. They are new fleet of buses. But there are few which are old and a bit rundown but I think those old ones are being phased out.

Exact Location of Airport Loop inside Pasay Rotunda Bus Terminal

Unlike before when you can easily see NAIA Shuttle Buses upon entering the big Pasay Rotunda Bus Terminal, the new slot of Airport Loop bus is located far inside of the massive provincial bus station. If you don't know the location of Pasay Rotunda bus terminal, please see map in our post NAIA 1-2-3 Shuttle Bus: Easy Way To Get To & From NAIA Terminals.

Upon entering the bus terminal via access where McDonald's is located, walk along the left side of the terminal all the way straight past all the row of establishments there. Soon you will see this sign. If there's no Airport Loop bus behind the signage, just wait until it arrives.

Bus Stop icon 1 - Airport Loop terminal in Pasay Rotunda. Remaining passengers that take the bus from Terminal 3 alight here. All passengers headed to NAIA terminals 4,2 and 1 from here must alight at Terminal 3 to transfer to another Airport Loop bus. Bus Stop icon 2 - If your destination is northern tip of Newport City like Emperador Bldg, you can ask driver to drop you off here. But it is not designated bus stop so if driver won't allow it, get off the bus at the first bus stop inside Newport City and take Newport City free shuttle. Bus Stop icon 3 - Airport Loop Unloading Area in NAIA-3. Unloading in T-3 is far from loading area so if you are headed to any of terminals 4,2 and 1 and you have heavy luggage ask driver to drop you off at the loading bay of Airport Loop. The bus will pass through it anyway. He will allow it based on what I have observed.

Bus Stop icon 6 - Airport Loop Terminal in NAIA-3. This is the terminal of all Airport Loop buses headed to all other NAIA terminals as well as Pasay Rotunda Airport Loop terminal where MRT/LRT stations are located. If you are an arriving passenger from Terminal 3 proceed here from Arrival and look for banner sign that reads 'Baclaran Pasay Rotunda MRT/LRT.' If you are arriving passengers from Terminal 1 or 2 or 4 and you want to take Airport Loop to train station, take an Airport Loop shuttle headed to NAIA-3 at loading area in your Terminal of Arrival. Bus Stop icon 8 - Second stop Baclaran Redemptorist. The bus stops along Roxas Blvd near Redemptorist Church. Because of bad traffic situation there's no fixed bus stop here so it could be way far from Redemptorist. After the bus stops here, it will now proceed to its terminal in Pasay Rotunda without anymore stops. All remaining passengers will be dropped inside Pasay Rotunda Bus Terminal.

City Buses Route Direct to NAIA-3 & 4 from North of Metro Manila

At last! You can now commute to NAIA Terminals 3 & 4 in one bus ride all the way from Quezon City, Caloocan, Pasig, Mandaluyong, etc. City buses have been given a new route that passes Manila Domestic Airport Terminal 4 and ends at NAIA Terminal 3. Created to provide commuting public with additional option in going to the airport terminals, the new route is slower compare to Airport Loop bus formerly known as NAIA Shuttle which takes passengers from MRT/LRT in Pasay Rotunda to NAIA-3 from which they'll take another bus in getting to Terminal 4,2 and 1.

What is the Route of the City Buses bound for NAIA-3

The route takes Roxas Blvd from EDSA, turns left onto NAIA Rd aka MIA Rd. Then it turns left again onto Domestic Road where the Domestic Airport Terminal 4 is located. The city bus will stop at designated unloading/loading area outside Terminal 4 to unload passengers going to Manila Domestic Airport Terminal 4.

The bus then turns right onto Andrews Ave. It will traverse the whole stretch of Andrews Ave up to the next bus stop or unloading/loading area which is located at Circulo Del Mundo which is around 300 to 400 meters from Arrival and Departure areas of NAIA Terminal 3.

Which one is fastest - city bus or the Airport Loop bus?

It will take you a very very long time reaching either Terminal 4 or Terminal 3 from your location north of Metro Manila if you take this city bus. As we all know, EDSA is notoriously trafficked all the time. So if you take a city bus bound for NAIA terminals, it would be safe to get on the bus hours in advance.

Airport Shuttle buses which leave its terminal across MRT Taft Station every 30 minutes or so will take you faster to Terminal 3 factoring the fast travel you would have already made via MRT-3 or LRT-1 before boarding the Airport shuttle.

Is it practical for a flying passenger to take a city bus to T-4 or T-3?

We all know that we need to be at the departure area 4 hours before boarding time. For me the only practical use of taking a city bus from let's say Commonwealth, QC, is to be at the airport night before your scheduled flight. That means you're going to stay overnight at the lobby which is done by many in Terminal 3. You don't know how many hours the bus will be stuck in the traffic. And you need to factor in the driver's stubborn way of staying longer at bay areas of malls and loading zones along EDSA. There might be a chance of you getting late for your flight if you take a city bus from far areas in the north of Metro Manila.

Who will get the Convenience of riding a City Bus to T-4 and T-3?

For one, arriving passengers who don't want to take taxi to get home. This is not advisable as they are easy targets for muggers and robbers that frequently victimize city bus passengers.

Now if you're going to any of these NAIA terminals to fetch an arriving relative, then it would be convenient for you to take this bus if you don't want to ride a metro train. Just make sure you arrive at the airport on time. You can also use a city bus in going home if you accompanied a flying passenger. It's convenient, you don't need to make any transfer.

How to get to NAIA Terminals 3 and 4 via City bus

Metro Manila's city buses' routes originate from various locations: Fairview, Novaliches, Malanday, Monument, Valenzuela, Navotas, etc. Loading areas from strategic locations can be found at Commonwealth, Philcoa, East Ave, Quezon Ave, North EDSA, Balintawak, Kamuning/Kamias, Araneta Center Cubao, Santolan Rd, Ortigas, EDSA-Shaw Crossing, Boni Ave, Guadalupe, Estrella and so on.

You can get to either terminal 3 or 4 of Ninoy Aquino International Airport from any locations served by city buses bound for NAIA-3 which must be on the sign board of the bus by going to the nearest city bus loading zone.

Just ride a bus with 'NAIA-3' on its sign and get off at unloading area of either Terminal 4 or Terminal 3.

Important Reminders

In NAIA Terminal 3 you need to walk far from the bus stop to the airport. The buses don't enter the airport terminal 3 as they are not allowed. The bus stop or unloading and unloading area for terminal 3 is located at Circulo del Mundo, the roundabout before NAIA-3. The roundabout is where the buses make the return trip to their respective origins.

If you're carrying heavy loads of luggage, a city bus ride to Terminal 3 would not be friendly for you. Go for a taxi.

NAIA Bus From MRT/LRT To T-3 & Vice Versa Still Operational

The bus that serves as NAIA Shuttle from Taft in Pasay Rotunda to Terminal 3 of Ninoy Aquino International Airport still operates. Take it from me as I have done the thing that others don't and that is to check it myself. To get the real score, I went to Pasay Rotunda on board a MRT-3 train on the afternoon of Feb 3, 2013, Sunday. I've seen two buses as they entered the Genesis Bus Terminal in Pasay Rotunda one after another with an interval of around 30 minutes. I was on the second floor of Chowking, having a fast meal, and the buses went past below me. There are only some changes. So, it's important to read this article for your convenience in commuting especially from T3 to Pasay Taft Rotunda where you can ride a train to distant location of Metro Manila in a breeze.

Taking The Shuttle To T3

After my snack, I went inside the terminal and there the two buses are, as usual, being filled with passengers. I got on the bus and soon a conductor collected Php 20 fare.

What Are The Changes Then?

There are just some major changes on the way the bus operates. Here they are:

1. For passengers from Taft To T-3: The bus no longer takes airport bound passengers inside NAIA-3 ground. Instead it stops at designated area on the sidewalk of Circulo Del Mundo Andrews Ave roundabout which is near the gate of NAIA Terminal 3. The driver announces Terminal 3 and you shall see this mammoth sculpture monument. From drop-off, you just enter the airport gate and walk towards the airport building.


Note: Circulo del Mundo was demolished, the structure in the photo no longer exists.
2. For passengers from T-3 to MRT/LRT Stations in Taft: No more buses bound for Taft from bus bays inside Terminal 3. But you can still ride the bus to Taft. You just need to walk from arrival exit to the Circulo del Mundo Andrews Ave roundabout. As soon as you come out of the terminal building, go left, walk past Bay 4, 3, 2 and 1 until you're outside of the terminal complex. Wait for the bus and as soon as it arrives, ride. Say to the driver "MRT Taft". It's understood. Important: I am not sure if this is temporary. So, if I were you check first the former location of Bus Stop at T-3 ground. Look at the photos below. If you see the first photo, then go to Andrews Ave roundabout. If you see the second photo, then you can wait for the bus to arrive. You see they just covered the original sign with a white material.

Things To Remember

1. Don't be impatient while waiting the bus at Circulo del Mundo Rotunda Andrews Ave roundabout. You might wait for 30 minutes or longer. Important thing is, it will arrive.

2. The bus from Circulo del Mundo Andrews Ave roundabout will not go directly to Taft. It will make a stopover at its terminal in Newport City. If you come to think of it, the bus is no longer called NAIA Shuttle but Resort World Manila Shuttle from Taft as there are a lot of passengers getting off the bus at Newport City. Maybe that's the reason they removed terminal at T-3.

3. If you're in a hurry to get to your destination in Metro Manila upon your arrival, don't take the bus. But if you are a budget traveler, still this bus is the most convenient yet economical transport from T-3 to train stations at Pasay Rotunda. Not to mention safe.

4. If you are a flying passengers and want to use this bus from MRT/LRT, you must allocate ample time allowance so that you don't get late on departure time.

5. If you don't want to walk from Arrival Exit, you can also ride the NAIA Shuttle bus bound for NAIA terminals 1, 2, and 4 which is just outside Arrival Exit. If you choose this, you will be dropped off at Petron Station where you will ride a jeepney bound for Pasay Rotunda. This is just an alternative. But if I will be asked, the bus from Circulo del Mundo Rotunda Andrews Ave roundabout is much better - for safety and convenience.

NAIA 1-2-3-4 Shuttle Bus Updates

This is the sequel of our post on NAIA Shuttle Bus entitled "NAIA 1-2-3 Shuttle Bus: Easy Way To Get To & From NAIA Terminals". I needed to publish this second part because there are changes on NAIA Shuttles that if not disseminated accordingly will bring confusions to commuters. One of the major changes is the new look of NAIA Shuttle Bus that serves commuters from Genesis Bus Terminal in Pasay Rotunda to Terminal 3 of NAIA. You might keep on waiting for a NAIA Shuttle arrival not knowing that the bus has already arrived.

Added to that the fact that the NAIA Shuttle from Pasay Rotunda has no signage of its destination on its windshield.

NAIA Shuttle arrives at Genesis Bus Terminal

If you're not familiar or if it's your first time to commute from Pasay Rotunda to Terminal 3 via NAIA Shuttle, you wouldn't know which one of the buses at the bus terminal is the one bound for NAIA-3. That's because the NAIA Shuttle Bus has now transformed into an all-white colored bus in outer body with HM lettering plus 2 digit number painted in dark color. Gone is the corporate lettering of NAIA 1-2-3 Domestic Loop that commuters got to read as soon as they saw the NAIA Shuttle bus back then. So, folks, here's the new look of NAIA Shuttle Bus that you get to see at Genesis Bus Terminal in Pasay Rotunda. Above are the latest photos of NAIA Shuttle Bus taken at Genesis Bus Terminal in Pasay Rotunda on July 27, 2012. My goal is to bring you information you need to know in getting to and from each of NAIA terminals. There are factors you need to remember in riding a shuttle from one terminal to another the most important of which is don't miss your terminal destination because when you do, you might get late for your flight and that's the last thing you want to happen. It happens from time to time. I have witnessed one when I boarded the NAIA Shuttle Van while documenting the flow of shuttles for this update. As soon as we left Terminal 1, a lady asked another passenger where's the location of Terminal 2. The man told her that he boarded the shuttle at Terminal 2. It occurred that the lady didn't alight when the van made the stopover at Terminal 2 and now she would have to stay on the van as it drops passengers at Terminal 4, Terminal 3, Terminal 4 again before going back to Terminal 2. That's quite a long journey to your terminal. Tip: Ask the driver, especially of the shuttle van, what's Terminal he's just made the stop over. They always assumed all passengers are familiar with NAIA terminal locations.

What is the new NAIA Shuttle Bus that takes passengers to and from NAIA 1,2,3 & 4?

EGC Transport, a newly added fleet of NAIA Shuttle now serves commuters and airline passengers. It takes passengers from one terminal to another. Upon arrival to Terminal 3 from EDSA, you can ride this bus. If this bus has not yet arrived, then you can ride a shuttle van. Read the types of NAIA Shuttles and how to recognize them. EGC Transport Express - a new NAIA Shuttle Bus

At NAIA Terminal 3 loading and unloading area for passengers bound for Terminal 1,2 and 4, EGC Transport Bus NAIA Shuttle parks to drop and load passengers. First Stop from Terminal 3 is Terminal 4, but you need to inform the conductor or the driver that your destination is Terminal 4 for him to drop you at pedestrian crossing opposite the Domestic Terminal.

As you can see in this photo taken from the inside of EGC Transport, the bus parks at Airport Shuttle waiting area of NAIA Terminal 2 where passengers bound for Terminal 1,3 and 4 are waiting. After passengers bound for Terminal 2 have alighted, it's their turn to board the bus. The crew of EGC Transport Express will load passengers' luggage to help them out.

The EGC Transport Express NAIA Shuttle Bus drops passengers outside departure lobby of NAIA Terminal 1. It will not pick up passengers there. After all passengers have alighted at departure of NAIA-1, EGC NAIA Shuttle Bus goes down to the area of "NAIA Shuttle Service to Terminal 2,3 & 4" outside Arrival Lobby which is located to your right as you get outside Arrival Lobby. There's a sign that reads NAIA Shuttle Service To Terminal 2, 3 & 4. You can't ride at this area if you're not an arriving passenger. You can ride a NAIA Shuttle van outside departure area which is upstairs.

What are the schedules of NAIA Shuttles?

NAIA Shuttle Van arrives at NAIA-1 Departure

The first trip of NAIA Shuttle from Genesis Bus Terminal in EDSA-Taft Pasay Rotunda to NAIA Terminal 3 is at 6 am. It serves the public up to 10 pm daily. The shuttle buses and vans that serve passengers to and from Terminal 1,2,3 and 4 start their operation at 6 am up to 2 am.

How do shuttles get to each terminal, which one comes first?

This is crucial information for those who would take a NAIA Shuttle van. They don't have specific destination. For example, you board a shuttle van at Terminal 2 thinking that it gets to Terminal 3. To your surprise, the van takes the direction to Terminal 1. Tip: When riding NAIA Shuttle van, always ask the driver about where he's headed. Please read separate post about this, click here.

EGC Transport Express has specific route. From Terminal 3 it drops passengers bound for Terminal 4 at pedestrian crossing opposite the Terminal. You must inform the conductor that your destination is Terminal 4, if that's the case. Next is Terminal 2. From Terminal 2, it goes directly to Terminal 1 departure area to drop passengers, then it goes to the arrival area to pick up arriving passengers. Next to Terminal 1 is Terminal 4. You must inform the crew you're alighting there. Please read Are all NAIA Shuttles dedicated to Terminal 4?. Last destination is Terminal 3 where the bus starts the driving loop again.

Can I now take a NAIA Shuttle from Terminal 1 even if I'm not an arriving passenger?

You can not ride NAIA Shuttle at Departure of  NAIA-1

If you have just accompanied a flying relative or friend, you can not board a NAIA Shuttle. It's no longer allowed. This is an update as of June 27, 2013. As on the morning of that day, I've tried to hop in and was told only "connecting flight passengers" are allowed. To get to MRT-3 Taft or LRT-1 EDSA station, ride a public bus at loading/unloading area few meters away from Terminal Bldg. Use the stair and go down to Arrival level. Cross the street and wait for a bus to arrive.

How do we recognize a NAIA Shuttle?

Obviously, you can easily recognize EGC Transport Express. But what if the bus hasn't arrived yet. If you're in a hurry, you can ride the NAIA Shuttle Van. Since the van ia a Toyota vehicle, you might mistake other motorist car for the NAIA Shuttle. To avoid that, just look for a Toyota van with NAIA logo on the front and on both sides of driver's seat. There's also a sign on the windshield that reads "Terminal 1,2,3 Domestic 4".

Are all NAIA Shuttles dedicated to Terminal 4?

No, in a sense that they don't make a stopover at Terminal 4 when there's no passengers that tell them to do so. Even if a NAIA Shuttle comes from Terminal 2 or Terminal 1 and it traverses Domestic Road lane that touches Terminal 4 ground, it won't enter the Domestic Terminal if no one is alighting there.

So, if you're an arriving passenger at Terminal 4 headed to Terminal 3, expect to wait longer than ordinary. You are lucky if by chance a passenger on-board a shuttle from Terminal 1 or 2 is alighting as you get out of the old Manila Domestic Airport. Otherwise, just take a cab which are ample outside the terminal.

Where is the NAIA Bus from Pasay Rotunda headed after NAIA-3 drop-off?

The NAIA Shuttle Bus from Pasay Rotunda to Terminal 3, after dropping passengers at NAIA-3 unloading area, goes directly to its Bus Stop in Newport City to drop passengers bound for Resort World Manila and other destinations there. It doesn't pick up passengers because there are other NAIA-3 Shuttles at the loading area. Commuters from Newport City going to MRT/LRT lines can ride the bus at Newport City bus stop. Where can I get off the shuttle from NAIA-3 aside from Pasay Rotunda?

You can alight at strategic locations along the route between NAIA Terminal 3 and Bus Terminal in Pasay Routunda where MRT/LRT lines are located. First unloading is at Tramo corner Andrews Ave before traffic lights of Aurora Blvd aka Tramo. Second unloading area is at Baclaran. Just inform the driver that you're alighting there. Now for those who have reserved a room at Heritage Hotel prior to their arrival, you can also get off the NAIA Shuttle Bus from Terminal 3 right in front of Heritage Hotel. This unloading area is also good if you want to transfer to a taxi. It saves a lot of money to take a cab at Heritage Hotel than at the airport while it's not convenient to take one at Pasay Rotunda, not to mention the safety issue. Next to Heritage Hotel stop is Genesis Bus Terminal, although in my experience last time, the driver had allowed quick unload before Taft, albeit, he rushed and pressured the passengers to move real quick.

How much is the fare of a NAIA Shuttle ride?

The cost of riding a NAIA Shuttle is Php 20 as of this writing. You must pay every time you ride a shuttle, i.e., pay Php 20 upon riding NAIA Shuttle from EDSA-Taft to Terminal 3, pay Php 20 when you ride a shuttle from Terminal 3 to Terminal 2, pay another Php 20 when you ride a shuttle from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 and so on.

Driving Directions To NAIA Terminal 1

NAIA Terminal 1 is simply known as NAIA. By car, it's relatively easy to get to the main terminal of our premier airport which also serves as the gateway to our country. The driving directions to NAIA are the same as the ones bound for NAIA 2. You only just need to turn right onto Ninoy Aquino Ave aka Imelda Ave from NAIA Road instead of crossing Ninoy Aquino Ave which will take you to NAIA 2. Please look at the map below and see NAIA 2 direction (blue arrow) in relation to direction to NAIA (red arrow), then read the directions below the map.

Once you're traversing NAIA Rd either from Domestic Rd or Roxas Blvd and Macapagal Blvd, just stay to the right lane and drive under road signs that read "NAIA 1 Paranaque". That lane will turn right onto Ninoy Aquino Ave and will take you to the ramp that goes to NAIA 1. Once inside NAIA 1 complex, just follow either "Departure" or "Arrival" sign depending on where you're actually going.

How To Get To NAIA-1 By Car

You must drive under NAIA-1 road sign

Route #1

Via NLEX, A. Bonifacio Ave and Roxas Blvd from Malolos, Bulacan, Subic, Clark, Tarlac, SCTEX, Pampanga, Olongapo and other areas of North Luzon.

Take NLEX and cross EDSA below EDSA Balintawak/Cloverleaf Bridge to traverse A. Bonifacio Ave. Drive all the way to the other end of Bonifacio and turn right onto Blumentritt, left on Aurora Blvd then right onto Dimasalang. Cross Lacson and take Laong Laan all the way to the wide Alfonso Mendoza (Quezon Blvd). Turn left on Alfonzo Mendoza. Drive to the middle and take Quezon Underpass to get to Quiapo. Cross Pasig River via Quezon Bridge and drive to the middle, avoid Lagusnilad Underpass by driving to the right of Padre Burgos after Lawton area. Cross four intersections with traffic lights - first in Manila City Hall, second is Finance Road, third is Juan Luna and fourth is Palacio St. Turn left on Roxas Blvd and drive all the way to NAIA Road. Follow directions in Route #2 of Driving Directions To NAIA Terminal 2, click here. Just remember, drive under road signs of "NAIA-1 Paranaque" instead of road signs of "NAIA-2".

Route #2

Via SLEX aka Osmena Highway or Skyway from Alabang, Muntinlupa, Sucat, Sta Rosa, and places in Laguna, Batangas, Tagaytay, Quezon and some parts of Cavite nearer to Sta Rosa which form the CALABARZON.

Exit SLEX via Sucat Exit. Cross SLEX via bridge above Osmena Highway that becomes Sucat Road aka Dr A. Santos Ave. Stay to this road without any turn, passing under C-5 Extension Flyover which is situated past SM City Sucat. Road name becomes Ninoy Aquino Ave. Watch for Duty Free Philippines Fiesta Mall to your right. After passing by Duty Free complex, take the lane going to NAIA-1.

Route #3

Via southbound lane of Osmena Highway aka SLEX or the Skyway above it from Nagtahan, Ramon Magsaysay Blvd, N. Domingo, Paco, San Andres Bukid and other areas nearby.

Follow directions in Route #2 of Driving Directions To NAIA Terminal 2, click here. After turning left from Domestic Road to NAIA Road, change lane and choose the one under the road sign that reads "NAIA 1 Paranaque". It will take you directly to the ramp of Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Once inside NAIA complex, follow direction to either "Departure" or "Arrival".

Route #4

Via EDSA's southbound lane from Ayala Center, Rockwell Center, A Venue, Century City, Greenfield District, Pioneer Boni in Mandaluyong, Ortigas Center, Greenhills, EDSA Shaw, Megamall, Shangri-La Plaza, POEA and other places nearby.

Drive all the way to Pasay past Magallanes MRT Station and Magallanes Bridge. Up ahead a left turning flyover with "NAIA" sign appears. Take that flyover that goes down to Aurora Blvd formerly Tramo. Drive all the way to its other end and turn right onto Airport Road. Turn left on Domestic Road, drive all the way to the other end and make left. After turning left from Domestic Road to NAIA Road, change lane and choose the one under the road sign that reads "NAIA 1 Paranaque". It will take you directly to the ramp of Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Once inside NAIA complex, follow direction to either "Departure" or "Arrival".

Route #5

Via Skyway's northbound lane and Andrews Ave taking NAIA-3 Exit from Alabang, Festival Mall, Muntinlupa, Metropolis Starmall, Sta Rosa, Laguna, Batangas, Tagaytay and other towns and places nearby. This is driving directions from NAIA-3 and Resorts World Manila Newport City to NAIA-1.

Traversing Skyway, drive all the way past Bicutan exit. Next to Bicutan Exit is NAIA-3 Exit. Change lane to the right. From the distance, after Bicutan Exit, you will see another flyover crossing above the skyway. It's the NAIA-3 Exit running from your lane. Take the lane going to NAIA-3 Exit. The ramp goes down to Andrews Ave, the road between Resorts World Manila and NAIA-3. Drive all the way past the gigantic sculpture which looks like an skeletal giant egg. Andrews Ave becomes Airport Road past Aurora Blvd, an intersection to the right. Turn left on Domestic Road and drive all the way to the other end which is in NAIA Road. Turn left on NAIA Rd and immediately drive on the lane below road sign that reads "NAIA 1 Paranaque". It will take you directly to the ramp of Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Once inside NAIA complex, follow direction to either "Departure" or "Arrival".

Route #6

Via Lawton Ave from Bonifacio Global City aka BGC and Global City.

Take Lawton Ave all the way from BGC (Bonifacio Global City) and cross Osmena Highway aka South Super Highway via Sales Bridge. Continue onto Sales Road, the main road that continues Sales Bridge. Drive all the way until Sales Road turns right and becomes Andrews Ave. Drive all the way past NAIA Terminal 3 (located to the left of Andrew Ave). Follow traffic direction that takes Circulo del Mundo Rotunda Andrews Ave roundabout, the rotunda past NAIA-3 frontage. If your destination is NAIA Terminal 3, you must take this roundabout past the extension of Andrews Ave and then take the dedicated lane that goes to NAIA-3. Just follow road signs there. To continue to Terminal 1 or Terminal 2, take take the extension of Andrews Ave which you get to see immediately up ahead while traversing the roundabout. Drive all the way past Aurora Blvd (the main intersection perpendicular to the right of Andrews Ave). Road name becomes Airport Road. Next intersection is Domestic Road (this one is perpendicular to the left of Airport Rd). Turn left onto Domestic Road. Drive all the way past Manila Domestic Airport (Terminal 4). Turn left onto NAIA Road where Domestic Road ends. In NAIA Rd, there are road signs that read either "NAIA Terminal 2" or "NAIA Terminal 1". You will immediately see the signs. If your destination is Terminal 2, drive under the sign "Terminal 2". Now since your destination is Terminal 1, drive under those road signs that read "NAIA Terminal 1" as the lane turns right onto Ninoy Aquino Ave aka Imelda Ave. Now follow the dedicated lane to Ninoy Aquino International Airport and take the lane under "Departure" sign or "Arrival", depending on your situation.

How To Get To NAIA Terminal 2 By Car

Route #1

Via Sucat Road from Paranaque City, BF Homes, EVACOM, SM Sucat and areas nearby.

Take Dr A Santos Ave that becomes Sucat Road and drive all the way until road name becomes Ninoy Aquino Ave. Drive past Duty Free Philippines Fiesta Mall and NAIA Terminal 1 access road towards where it ends which is NAIA Road. Upon approach to NAIA Road, change lane to the right and turn right onto NAIA Road. Drive to the middle, you are now headed to Terminal 2. Follow road signs that read "Terminal 2" and depending on whether you're going to "Arrival" or "Departure" area, follow the corresponding sign.

Route #2

Via Roxas Blvd from Ermita, Malate, Quiapo, Binondo, Tondo and some parts of CAMANAVA.

Drive along Roxas Blvd southbound lane all the way to NAIA Road. Turn left on NAIA Road. Alternatively, you can take Macapagal Blvd which is paralleled to Roxas Blvd then turn left on NAIA Road and cross Roxas Blvd. In NAIA Road, cross Quirino Ave, a main intersection with traffic lights, then drive under road signs that read "Terminal 2" and cross main intersection of Ninoy Aquino Ave. You're now headed to Terminal 2. Follow directions to either "Arrival" or "Departure".

Route #3

Via southbound lane of Osmena Highway aka SLEX or the Skyway above it from Nagtahan, Ramon Magsaysay Blvd, N. Domingo, Paco, San Andres Bukid and other areas nearby.

Take Quirino Ave and turn left on Osmena aka SLEX. Drive all the way past Magallanes Interchange in EDSA. Skyway entry is located past Gil Puyat-Osmena flyover. In Skyway, drive to the rightmost lane after EDSA and take the "Terminal 3 Exit". Down in Osmena Highway, drive to the rightmost lane after EDSA and turn right onto dedicated lane before the Skyway crossover flyovers that you see up ahead. Follow the road to Sales and eventually to Andrews Ave, the road between NAIA Terminal 3 and Resort World Newport City. Drive all the way on Andrews Ave past the gigantic sculpture which looks like an skeletal giant egg. Andrews Ave becomes Airport Road past Aurora Blvd, an intersection to the right. Turn left on Domestic Road and drive all the way to the other end and make left. Tip: Connecting Flight At NAIA-1 From NAIA-2

Let's say you're from any point of the Philippines and flying out of the country with connecting flight at NAIA-1 and you just landed at NAIA Terminal 2 also known as Centennial Airport. What would you do?

Immediately get to the Airport Shuttle waiting area outside 'International Arrivals', between Bay 14 and Bay 15, an 'AIRPORT SHUTTLE' sign hangs conspicuously. There are benches just below it where passengers can wait for the shuttles. Go to that area and wait for a van with sign that reads "NAIA 1-2-3 Manila Domestic". The driver will load luggage of waiting passengers.

Now, you must ask the driver if he's headed to NAIA-1. The shuttle van that arrives has no specific planned destination. The shuttle that you would be boarding might headed to NAIA-3. So, it's important to "ASK THE DRIVER" if he is indeed taking the passengers directly to Terminal 1. I need to write this because there's a lot of confusions happening in riding airport shuttles at NAIA-2. And I know how crucial the time for a flying passenger is.

How To Commute To Manila Domestic Airport Terminal 4

Manila Domestic Airport also known as Terminal 4 is located along Domestic Road through which NAIA Shuttle buses and vans pass on its way to Terminal 1 and 2 from Terminal 3. The terminal of this shuttle service for both departing and arriving passengers of our premier airport is located at Pasay Rotunda, adjacent to MRT-3 and a pedestrian bridge away from LRT-1. In comments' section of NAIA Shuttle Bus article, some passengers had asked how to get to Terminal 4. I hadn't written about it on that post because when I took NAIA Shuttle Bus prior to my posting of the first article, the bus didn't stop at Manila Domestic Airport to unload passenger.

Today, I've ridden the NAIA Shuttle Bus for the second time from its terminal in Pasay Rotunda to get an accurate direction to Terminal 4. And I found out that you can get to Terminal 4 aka Manila Domestic Terminal from both MRT-3 Taft Station and LRT-1 EDSA Station by riding NAIA Shuttle Bus at its terminal in EDSA-Pasay Rotunda.

How to get to Terminal 4?

From NAIA-3 and MRT-3 & LRT-1 in EDSA-Taft - Ride NAIA Shuttle Bus at its terminal in Pasay Rotunda. Alight at Terminal-3. Ride another bus/van bound for Terminal 2 and 1 at Terminal-3. Once inside the shuttle bus or van bound for NAIA-1 or 2, tell the driver that your destination is "Manila Domestic Airport" while he makes round of collecting the fare which, up to now, is only Php 20.

If there's no passenger that tells him Terminal 4 as destination, the driver won't bother to announce that the shuttle is already passing by the Domestic Airport. And unlike in Terminals 1,2 and 3, there's no shuttle bay on Manila Domestic Airport. You will just alight on the road. So, it's important that you mention your destination and make sure that he remembers.

The shuttle bus will take Andrews Ave all the way until its name becomes Airport Road and then it turns left on Domestic Road. You shall be dropped off at either pedestrian overpass or a pedestrian lane opposite the Domestic Terminal. Go cross the road and head towards departure entrance.

From NAIA Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 - Ride a Shuttle Bus or a van bound for Terminal 3. Alight at Terminal 4. Important: You must inform the driver that your destination is Terminal 4, because he will not stop there if no one tells him to drop them at Terminal 4. You will be late for your flight if that happens. So, make sure to remind the driver and be alert. Reminder: NAIA Shuttles are convenient and economical way to get to all terminals of Ninoy Aquino International Airport and Manila Domestic Airport. But you need to leave home very early. Think about the traffic along Aurora Blvd, the main road from EDSA which the shuttle takes. And then there's the waiting time on your transfer to another shuttle at NAIA-3. You can't be late on Check-In Time. So, have ample allowance.

How To Commute To Terminal 4 From Sucat, Muntinlupa, Alabang And Nearby Areas

Take a jeep from Sucat bound for Baclaran via Sucat Road. Ask the driver to drop you off at Domestic Road. Along Domestic Road from corner of NAIA Road, ride a jeepney with "Baclaran" sign. Don't ride a jeepney along NAIA Road even if it's sign is "Baclaran" because there are jeepneys bound for Baclaran that don't take Domestic Road. Ask the driver to drop you off at Manila Domestic Airport.
