Target date to finish the project is last quarter of 2011. Location is in front of SM City North Edsa. Once finished, North Avenue LRT-1 Station will also serve as the common station of MRT-3 and LRT-1.

Monumento is where you find the avenue of department stores just walking distance from the LRT 1 station. They stand side by side along Rizal Avenue where major provincial bus companies like Victory Bus are also located. Monumento Station formerly held the distinction of being the last station of LRT-1 north of Metro Manila before the extension is built and new stations opened (Balintawak, Roosevelt and soon North common station of LRT-1 and MRT-3). This might be one of the reasons why plenty of hotels also flourish here.
