How To Get To Dapitan Arcade

  • Today I'm gonna take you to Dapitan, Quezon City. This is the small market district where you can buy handcrafted items, home interiors, gift items and Christmas decors at very affordable price. Shoppers flock here during Christmas to get maximum value for their money, and this year is no different. So for those of you who have no idea on the location of Dapitan Market or Dapitan Arcade as it is popularly known, just bookmark this for your future reference.


    But before I give directions to Dapitan Arcade, I wanna share some images taken just two days ago when we went to Dapitan Arcade.

    By Car

    Route #1





    From Fairview, Philcoa, West Avenue, Timog, Scout Area. Take Quezon Ave and turn right onto Banawe Avenue then turn left on the third street which is Dapitan Street. Drive straigh ahead crossing intersections of Cordillera, D. Tuazon, Speaker Perez and Apo Avenue. Dapitan Arcade is right after Apo Avenue on the right side of Dapitan Street.

    Route #2

    From Cubao, Marikina, San Juan and New Manila area. Take E. Rodriguez Avenue all the way to Welcome Rotonda. Turn right onto Quezon Avenue and make a U-Turn on the first U-Turn slot. Right turn onto Kanlaon Street, the road beside Burger King. Stay on Kanlaon. Cross Sen. Mariano Cuenco. Next Street is Dapitan Street. Dapitan Arcade is on the corner of Dapitan and Kanlaon streets.

    Route #3

    From Tondo, Tayuman, Avenida area take Lacson Avenue and then Laong Laan. Stay on Laong Laan crossing intersections of Vicente Cruz, Antonio Maceda and dozens of city street in between them. Laon Laan ends in Blumentritt Street. Cross Blumentritt Street onto opposite Nicanor Roxas. Stay on Nicanor Roxas until you cross Mayon Street. Next to Mayon Street is Kanlaon. Turn right onto Kanlaon towards Dapitan Arcade.

    Route #4





    From Navotas, Malabon, Caloocan area. Take C-3 and head toward A. Bonifacio Avenue. Observe traffic rules and take A. Bonifacio Avenue. Stay on A. Bonifacio Avenue up to Mayon Avenue and take Mayon Avenue. Stay on Mayon Avenue until you reach Nicanor Roxas, turn left on Nicanor Roxas then turn right onto Kanlaon towards Dapitan Arcade.

    Route #5

    From Bulacan, Pampanga, Novaliches and Northern Luzon. Stay on NLEX and go straight toward A. Bonifacio Avenue, passing through Balintawak Cloverleaf Interchange. Stay on A. Bonifacio Avenue up to C-3. Follow direction on Route #4.

    Route #6

    From Makati, Pasay, Paranaque, Quiapo, Lawton, Ermita, Roxas Blvd and South of Metro Manila as well as Southern Tagalog provinces of Batangas, Laguna and Quezon. If you're from Cavite, Tagaytay, Imus, Bacoor, Alabang-Zapote Road and areas nearby, take Roxas Boulevard all the way to Luneta or Rizal Park.





    Turn right onto Padre Burgos from Roxas Boulevard. You can also take Taft Avenue or Maria Orosa Street, depending where you're exactly coming from. From Maria Orosa Street in Ermita including Robinson's Place Manila, drive all the way, cross T.M. Kalaw until you're passing through Luneta or Rizal Park. Turn right onto Padre Burgos. From Taft Avenue, just go past Rizal Park and cross Ayala Boulevard until Taft Avenue merge to Padre Burgos. Stay on Padre Burgos but fter crossing intersection with traffic lights in Manila City Hall area, just go past the jeepney unloading/loading area, then change lane to the right of Padre Burgos and take Quiapo via Quezon Bridge. Now, you're on Quezon Boulevard. Go straight passing through Quezon Boulevard underpass. Don't turn right onto Lerma. Instead stay on Quezon Boulevard and go straight. Staying on Quezon Boulevard, you must bypass Dapitan Street because it's a one way traffic toward you. Instead, continue driving until you reach next street which is Laong Laan. Turn right onto Laong Laan. Go straight ahead until you cross Lacson Avenue. Then follow direction on Route #3.


    By Jeepney





    Depending on your location, you can choose a direction from these routes:

    Route #1

    From Cubao. Take "Quiapo" bound jeepney. Get off at Welcome Rotonda. Walk toward Burger King where terminal of jeepneys with "Del Monte Mayon Dapitan Welcome Rotonda" sign is located at the corner. This street is Kanlaon. Pay minimum fare and ask driver to drop you off at Dapitan. It's very near so watch out.

    Route #2

    From Morayta or Nicanor Reyes. There's lot jeepneys with "Dapitan" sign passing through McDonald's P. Campa along Espana. Take one of them and you'll surely won't miss it. You can always ask driver to drop you off at the exact location of Dapitan Arcade. You might need to walk a little bit.

    Route #3

    From Pasay, Pedro Gil, Ermita and Quiapo area. Take jeepney with "Dapitan" sign at Libertad Street, Pedro Gil, Taft Avenue and anywhere along Taft Avenue up to Quezon Boulevard in Quiapo. This jeepney passes by Dapitan Arcade.

    Route #4





    From Munoz, LRT-1 Roosevelt Station, Congressional, Project 7-8 and nearby areas. Take jeepney bound for Sta. Cruz via "Del Monte" and get off at Mayon Street. Walk towards A. Bonifacio Market along Mayon Street. The terminal of jeepneys with "Del Monte Dapitan Mayon Welcome Rotonda" is located at the corner of Mayon and Apo, just opposite A. Bonifacio Market. Ride one of these jeepneys and ask the driver to drop you off at Dapitan Arcade.

    Route #5

    From A. Bonifacio, Novaliches Quirino Highway, LRT-1 Balintawak Station, Bagong Barrio. Take jeepney bound for Blumentritt Avenida with "Novaliches A. Bonifacio Blumentritt" sign. Ask the driver to drop you off at Mayon Street. Follow direction in Route #4.

    Route #6

    From Carriedo, Sta. Cruz, Tayuman and Tondo area. Take jeepney along Avenida with "Munoz Blumentritt Retiro" sign. Ask driver to drop you off at Mayon Street. Along Mayon Street, wait for jeepney with "Mayon Del Monte Welcome Rotonda" sign. Ride one of these jeepneys and ask driver to drop you off at Dapitan Arcade.
