NAIA Bus From MRT/LRT To T-3 & Vice Versa Still Operational

  • The bus that serves as NAIA Shuttle from Taft in Pasay Rotunda to Terminal 3 of Ninoy Aquino International Airport still operates. Take it from me as I have done the thing that others don't and that is to check it myself. To get the real score, I went to Pasay Rotunda on board a MRT-3 train on the afternoon of Feb 3, 2013, Sunday. I've seen two buses as they entered the Genesis Bus Terminal in Pasay Rotunda one after another with an interval of around 30 minutes. I was on the second floor of Chowking, having a fast meal, and the buses went past below me. There are only some changes. So, it's important to read this article for your convenience in commuting especially from T3 to Pasay Taft Rotunda where you can ride a train to distant location of Metro Manila in a breeze.

    Taking The Shuttle To T3

After my snack, I went inside the terminal and there the two buses are, as usual, being filled with passengers. I got on the bus and soon a conductor collected Php 20 fare.

    What Are The Changes Then?

There are just some major changes on the way the bus operates. Here they are:

    1. For passengers from Taft To T-3: The bus no longer takes airport bound passengers inside NAIA-3 ground. Instead it stops at designated area on the sidewalk of Circulo Del Mundo Andrews Ave roundabout which is near the gate of NAIA Terminal 3. The driver announces Terminal 3 and you shall see this mammoth sculpture monument. From drop-off, you just enter the airport gate and walk towards the airport building.

Note: Circulo del Mundo was demolished, the structure in the photo no longer exists.

    2. For passengers from T-3 to MRT/LRT Stations in Taft: No more buses bound for Taft from bus bays inside Terminal 3. But you can still ride the bus to Taft. You just need to walk from arrival exit to the Circulo del Mundo Andrews Ave roundabout. As soon as you come out of the terminal building, go left, walk past Bay 4, 3, 2 and 1 until you're outside of the terminal complex. Wait for the bus and as soon as it arrives, ride. Say to the driver "MRT Taft". It's understood. Important: I am not sure if this is temporary. So, if I were you check first the former location of Bus Stop at T-3 ground. Look at the photos below. If you see the first photo, then go to Andrews Ave roundabout. If you see the second photo, then you can wait for the bus to arrive. You see they just covered the original sign with a white material.

    Things To Remember

    1. Don't be impatient while waiting the bus at Circulo del Mundo Rotunda Andrews Ave roundabout. You might wait for 30 minutes or longer. Important thing is, it will arrive.

    2. The bus from Circulo del Mundo Andrews Ave roundabout will not go directly to Taft. It will make a stopover at its terminal in Newport City. If you come to think of it, the bus is no longer called NAIA Shuttle but Resort World Manila Shuttle from Taft as there are a lot of passengers getting off the bus at Newport City. Maybe that's the reason they removed terminal at T-3.

    3. If you're in a hurry to get to your destination in Metro Manila upon your arrival, don't take the bus. But if you are a budget traveler, still this bus is the most convenient yet economical transport from T-3 to train stations at Pasay Rotunda. Not to mention safe.

    4. If you are a flying passengers and want to use this bus from MRT/LRT, you must allocate ample time allowance so that you don't get late on departure time.

    5. If you don't want to walk from Arrival Exit, you can also ride the NAIA Shuttle bus bound for NAIA terminals 1, 2, and 4 which is just outside Arrival Exit. If you choose this, you will be dropped off at Petron Station where you will ride a jeepney bound for Pasay Rotunda. This is just an alternative. But if I will be asked, the bus from Circulo del Mundo Rotunda Andrews Ave roundabout is much better - for safety and convenience.

    1. Thank you very much for taking time to do this. I really appreciate it.

I just have a question though: how long would it take to walk from Circulo del Mundo to Terminal 3 building, or vice versa? How safe would it be to walk at night?

      Sorry, I'm not very familiar with the area. ^_^;;

    2. @ water-bottles. It's okay. It's safe, very near to security officers which are deployed at the gate. But then, just watch your back as bad elements strike anywhere.

It takes around 5-10 minutes depends on your luggage weight, very near.

You are welcome. By the way, would you mind if I ask you to check my newly launched blog. Kindly click this -> Things Worth To Buy

      Thank you so much.

    4. Hi Lagalag,

Thank you for sharing this. Glad that I read this before my flight to Manila. Now I won't be surprise if I didn't see any shuttle bus from there.

    6. May I ask if there are any Jeeps from Pasay Rotunda to NAIA Terminal 2? Thanks!

      ReplyDelete
    7. @ Steven. You can take two jeepney rides from Pasay Rotunda to NAIA Terminal 2. First, ride a jeep with "Baclaran Redemptorist" sign at Genesis Bus Terminal. Get off the jeep at Airport Road corner Quirino Ave in Baclaran. Right there is the terminal of jeepneys bound for NAIA Terminal 1 that also pass by T-2. Ride that jeep and ask driver to drop you off at T-2.

Alternatively, you can take PUB with "MIA" or "NAIA" sign and ask the driver to drop you off at T-2.

    20. Good pm! How can I go to Makati Shangri-la from Taft ave?
      and from Monumento?

      ReplyDelete
    21. @ JAYSON UY. Just ride a bus from Taft Ave with "Ayala" sign and ask driver to drop you off at the unloading area nearer to Makati Shangri-la.

    22. I don't get it. I've heard that there are direct buses from NAIA 1 to LRT Baclaran. Is this false?

      ReplyDelete
    23. @ André Devecseri. False when you said "to LRT Baclaran." To make it right, I will say "there are direct buses from NAIA 1 to LRT Pasay Rotunda."

Please read NAIA 1-2-3 Shuttle Bus: Easy Way To Get To & From NAIA Terminals to get complete details. Please make sure you read the entire article to get complete direction from NAIA 1 to LRT EDSA Station and MRT Taft Station which is located in Pasay Rotunda. Hope my guides and directions help you.

    24. If I take this bus route, where should I go down to reach MOA? Im sorry if you find it irrelevant. Iam not just familiar with the place. Thank you. :))

      ReplyDelete
    25. @ twisted girl addiction. There are lots of buses and jeepneys with "MOA" sign along south bound lane of EDSA Pasay Rotunda. Just get off the shuttle bus at its terminal and get across EDSA via MRT pedestrian walkway.

    26. da2an ba ung genesis na bus sa PAGS Center? export wing? manga2ling ako edsa(lrt) huhuhu 1st time ko at bukas q need magpunta dun.. help pls...

      ReplyDelete
    27. pls. which way is d easiest? I'm going to terminal 1, at export wing to be exact near PAGCOR and wondering which is the most convenient way, btw I'm from LRT-TAFT/Edsa.. thanks!

      ReplyDelete
    28. @ clarice padilla. I am sorry for very late reply.

    31. good day! Manggagaling kasi ako ng Terminal 2 and from I've read here I need to ride the bust from T2 to T3 and then ride another bus to MRT Taft. Is it still operational until now? Thanks a lot.

      ReplyDelete
    32. @ rommel. Sa akin po kaalaman ay operational naman po. Pki follow nlng po ang mga guide na isinulat ko sa artikulo na to kung paano po kyo sasakay ng bus from T3 to MRT Taft. You can also take 1 bus ride direct to MRT Taft kung wala kyo mbigat na bagahe. Labas lng kyo ng T2 at abang ng public bus na "Fairview-NAIA" ang ruta. Sana po makatulong.

    33. How many minutes from NAIA 3 to Taft? Is it better to ride the shuttle bus/take a cab/jeepney?

      ReplyDelete
    34. @ RNteractive. If money is not an issue, go for cab. Make sure to ride only outside departure. Taxis outside arrival charge too much.

    35. hi sir,

    37. Hi! I just wanted to ask. If I were to ride this bus and intend to go to RWM, will the bus stop by Circulo del Mundo Rotunda first or will it stop by Newport City first? I want to have this cleared up because reminder no. 2, as I understood it, is for the bus that is headed for Taft already. Thanks!:)

      ReplyDelete
    38. @ ARC. The bus from Pasay Rotunda stops at NAIA T3 first. Then it goes to Newport City. If your destination is RWM, don't alight at T3. Please wait for the bus to arrive at its Newport City terminal.

    39. hello sir ung PUB with "MIA" or "NAIA" sign meron po b sa cubao nun? dumadaan po b ng terminal 1 un? and kung pabalik po ng cubao gling ng terminal 1 ano po sasakyan? ung budget friendly lng po sir. :) tnx & have a good day!

      ReplyDelete
    40. @ oyoboy patrick.

      ReplyDelete
    43. @ Jen R. Traffic in Metro Manila is always horrendous especially nowadays that there are lots of road repairs going on everywhere. All things considered in this particular case, taxi is the best one that must be suggested.

    44. ask ko lang po sana paano magcommute from bulacan going to naia terminal 1? thanks po

      ReplyDelete
    45. @ sarah jane capule. How to commute to NAIA-1 from Bulacan? First ride bus or fx or jeepney that will bring you to their terminal located along EDSA preferable near any MRT Station. Ride a MRT train to Taft Station and ride the NAIA Shuttle at Genesis Terminal. Just transfer at Terminal 3 to a shuttle headed to T-1.

    50. Attention to all commuters to and from NAIA 4. For you to get needed directions, you should read all posts about NAIA Shuttles now known NAIA Loop. Read this full article and read other articles about NAIA Shuttles/Loop. That's because T1, T2, T3, T4 and MRT are all interconnected by network of NAIA Loop/shuttles. If you wait for my answer, you might wait forever. While if you read, you would get the answer immediately. Thanks for understanding.
