NAIA 1-2-3 Shuttle Bus: Easy Way To Get To & From NAIA Terminals
Going to three terminals of Ninoy Aquino International Airport or NAIA presents problems for most of the commuters especially if they don't know what route of jeepneys or buses to take. Good for the old terminal 1 that its location is along the route of Metro Manila buses. One can get off the bus exactly at the old airport. In NAIA-2, you need to walk a little bit far to get to its ground. NAIA-3 is the most hard to reach by commuting among the three terminals because of its location.
Thanks to NAIA Shuttle Bus, going to and from two terminals of our premier airport, NAIA-2 and NAIA-3, has never been this convenient for commuters. You can get in and out of these terminals even if you're not an arriving passenger. In Terminal 1, only arriving passengers can ride the shuttle bus but commuters going to the old airport can still get there by riding the shuttle bus.
If you're going to a NAIA Terminal to catch your flight, make sure you have enough time allowance. In addition to 3 hours requirement for international flight and 2 hours for local flight for a flying passenger to be at the airport before the time of the flight, an added 2 hours allowance is needed if you're going to NAIA-1 via Shuttle Bus to make up for the waiting time both in Bus Station at Pasay Rotonda and NAIA-3.
HOW TO GET TO EACH TERMINAL OF NAIA FROM SHUTTLE BUS STATION
For Commute Guide to Manila Domestic Airport aka Terminal 4, click here.
Flash: Read new post published July 29, 2012 for latest updates of NAIA Shuttles, click here.NAIA Shuttle Bus Station is located inside the terminal of provincial bus Genesis Transport Services with exact location at EDSA corner Taft, Pasay Rotunda - at the back of Sogo Pasay Rotonda Branch.
From LRT-1 EDSA Station, turn left after your exit at turnstile (exit machine), then use the footbridge to get across EDSA. Go towards Sogo until you get to the building of MRT-3 Taft Station. Use the stair and get to the ground where a McDonald's is situated next to MRT Station. McDonald is located alongside Dunkin Donut, Chow King and Sogo. Between McDonald's and Dunkin Donut is an exit driveway of all buses and jeepneys coming from the terminal. Use this driveway to enter the bus terminal where NAIA shuttle buses stand waiting for passengers. Get in the bus and wait for conductor to collect payments of 20 pesos per passenger.
From MRT-3 Taft Station, after your exit at the turnstile (exit machine where you insert ticket) located to the right of station, go towards the hallway where pedestrians walk to get to either side of EDSA. Walk towards the opposide of EDSA. At this point Sogo Hotel is already visible. Use the stair to get to the ground where you will immediately see McDonald's alongside Dunkin Donut, Chow King and Sogo itself. Between McDonald's and Dunkin Donut is a exit driveway of all buses and jeepneys coming from the terminal. Use this driveway to enter the bus terminal where NAIA shuttle buses stand waiting for passengers. Get in the bus and wait for conductor to collect payments of 20 pesos per passenger.

These very specific and detailed directions on how to take public transportation in lieu of the MOST EXPENSIVE YELLOW AIRPORT TAXI (in the Philippines), is a great service to those travelling on budget. Kudos to Mr. Blogger, may your tribe increase.

hi! i would just like to ask. Does MRT accept passengers with about 2-3 luggages? i just would like to commute from quezon city to NAIA terminal 3. and i think taking the MRT is the easiest and the cheapest way to reach pasay and take the shuttle to terminal 3. Thanks!
19 May 2011 23:42
I think one person carrying 3 luggages is not allowed to board MRT. Hand-carry bag and a backpack is allowed based on my experience. I suggest you just take a taxi to Pasay Rotonda then ride the shuttle to NAIA-3.
Friendly reminder: Recommended arrival time at the airport prior to departure of International Flights is 3 hours. Local flight is 2 hours.
20 May 2011 09:00
Is the NAIA 1-2-3 Shuttle Bus operating 24 hours?
20 May 2011 10:46
NAIA Shuttle Bus operating hour is from 6 am to 10 pm daily.
24 June 2011 23:11
Lagalog, I'm dropping a friend off to Terminal 1 from Terminal 2 (flying into Manila on Cebu Pacific domestic)... I was curious, what's the best way to get to MRT-3 Taft Station? Last Sunday night (9-11pm)...
Thanks for the help!
25 June 2011 17:27
Hello Christopher, the answer to your question is written on Direction #6 of this article. Please read it completely, thanks.
22 July 2011 19:38
Hello -- wow, thanks for your informative blog! A quick question about Direction #3. How long does will the bus take to get from NAIA 1 to NAIA 3?
We are a group of 8 with kids and old people, so this bus is just perfect for us.
We are arriving at NAIA 1 at 1PM and have to catch a domestic flight that leaves at 3:45PM from NAIA 3.
Is it advisable to take this shuttle bus?
22 July 2011 23:11
NAIA Shuttle leaves Terminal 1 immediately, so for me it's advisable. Also, since there are eight of you, the chauffeur will take you right away to Terminal 3. But it will stop at NAIA-2 for a while before heading out to NAIA-3. Just talk to the chauffeur about your situation, that you need to be at NAIA-3 two hours before the departure time. I don't think there would be any problem on that.
Mabuhay! Enjoy your stay.
23 July 2011 00:34
Maraming salamat po for the quick reply! :)
Another question-- which of the photos shown above are those taken from NAIA1? I just hope that upon getting out of NAIA 1 Customs, the shuttle bus stop won't be difficult to find.
Mabuhay and thank you very much for writing this blog!
23 July 2011 01:31

8 August 2011 10:55
Good am. Ask lang po ako if saan po ako banda sakay ng shuttle bus galing po ako bacolod city my flight will be first flight of philippine airlines and I have an international flight at 1230 same day. since its my first time in manila i want to know how to go there at terminal 1 from philippine airlines terminal. thank you po. i hope i can get an answer.
8 August 2011 16:53
23 August 2011 08:47
Thank you very much! Malaking tulong po sa akin itong post.
23 August 2011 15:21
Ok lang po yun.

Thanks so much for this post, Mr. Lagalag! I've been looking all over the web for this exact information, as I would need to transfer From Terminal 1 to Terminal 3 next month when I get in from HKG.
I have just one concern though; I'll be arriving at Terminal 1 around 10pm, and will probably or hopefully be out of there by 11pm after going through immigration, etc. I then intend to catch a Cebu Pacific flight at Terminal 3 at around 4am.
My question is at 11pm, will there still be a shuttle bus leaving T1 for T3?
If not, could you tell me what would be the next best thing for me to take? I suppose I could take a taxi, but sadly, I should probably expect to be overcharged. :-(
30 September 2011 12:11
I had double checked with NAIA 1 authority. I am happy to tell you po that the shuttle from Terminal 1 to Terminal 3 operates 24 hours daily. With that, I am sure you will arrive on time at NAIA 3 for your next flight via Cebu Pacific.
You're welcome po. It's my purpose to help our kababayans. You can, too. Can I ask you a favor of clicking the "Plus One" button at the top of this post? By doing so, when other Pinoys search for this info in Google, they'll get this article on top of the results. I will really appreciate it. Thank you very much.
:-)
30 September 2011 12:21
No problem! Again, thanks so much!
27 October 2011 21:01
this is a fantastic post, mr. lagalag. we travelers appreciate it very much. i have some questions, if you don't mind. approximately, how long is the travel time between naia 1 and 3? how long is the travel time between naia 3 and the mrt station? and how long is the total travel time between naia 1 and the mrt station? thank you very much!
28 October 2011 02:21
Travel time varies depending on traffic situation and there's waiting time involved. Approximate time from NAIA 3 to MRT Station - 25 mins, from NAIA 1 to 3 via NAIA 2 - 35 mins. Approximate travel time from NAIA 1 to MRT Station - 60 mins. The bus waits for more arriving passengers in Terminal 3. But if there's queue when bus arrives, it leaves immediately.
30 October 2011 17:19
12 November 2011 17:07
Hi Mr. Lagalag, this is indeed a relief to me as I'll be in Manila by next weekend. Thank you for posting such a detailed information. Keep it up!

15 November 2011 20:41
Magkano po ang transfer fee from Terminal 1 to Terminal 3 by the shuttle bus? gaano po ba katagal ang biyahe? dadating po kasi ako mga 1 pm at ang connecting flight ko Cebu Pacific at 4 pm.
15 November 2011 23:38
26 December 2011 10:56
wow! this is really big help po eto for first timers like me...thanks po
26 December 2011 11:31

4 January 2012 04:16
thank you so much for all this info, mr Lagalag! We will be arriving at NAIA 2 @ around 6am and will have a layover of 6hrs before our connecting PAL flight to Iloilo @12pm. based on this, we can take the shuttle to take us to NAIA 3 with no problem. we are planning to eat at Resort World, if there's anything open, just to kill time. Is this the best way to get to RW?
Thanks so much for all your help and i will "plus 1" you, of course!
Jennifer
4 January 2012 08:57
Yes. And in that case, you can take the RW Shuttle Bus instead of the usual NAIA Shuttle Bus. That way, you alight right at RWM. Then you just walk across the road towards NAIA-3. Thanks for the 'Plus 1' :-)
4 January 2012 09:06
oh.. so there's a RWM shuttle from naia2? but we gotta get back to naia2. thats where the connecting flight is. thanks for everything! :)
4 January 2012 17:50
Yes po same spot. And the RWM Shuttle bus goes back to NAIA-2 as well. Kindly ask the attendant or driver as to their schedule.
24 January 2012 16:18
very informative...thank you so much..
24 January 2012 17:10
@john, salamat po, pki plus 1 po :-)
1 February 2012 20:41
Ask lang po if the shuttle buses going to naia-3 issue tickets; for documentation/reimbursement kasi, thanks!
3 February 2012 09:04
@ eugene, as I've ridden NAIA Shuttle couple of times, they don't issue tickets. Maybe because passengers don't ask for it. Anyway, you can ask for receipt of your payment the moment you ride the shuttle. Hope this information helps you. :-)
6 February 2012 22:34
thanks for the info po, very big help!
7 February 2012 01:20
@ eugene, you are welcome po sir :-)
17 February 2012 11:24
hi, mr. lagalag! i've been praying for this type of information as i'll be there tomorrow and no relative will be available to get me at the airport. i appreciate your effort to help commuters/passengers like me who find it not practical and too costly to get a taxi...i'd like to ask if i can also take the shuttle bus to MOA (mall of asia) from NAIA 3? and from MOA, how do i get to this destination: capitol homesite subd., tandang sora, quezon city? can i request you for an extended guide to and from my destination? i'd appreciate it much if i can get your reply by tonight so i can plan out my itinerary..thanks...
17 February 2012 11:58

25 February 2012 03:15
@ Sir Lagalag ask ko lng anu po un last na byabe na oras from pasay rotonda going to terminal 3. thanks for your prompt reply.
25 February 2012 09:39
7 March 2012 03:08
thank you for this information! great help ito sa mga budget conscious na airline passengers.. aminin natin na sobrang mahal na ng taxi rate ngayon so this is one way para makatipid kahit paano..
maraming salamat po talaga! :)
7 March 2012 04:03
@ emjee

Love to see more from you. Courtesy: London airport transfers
17 March 2012 10:18
mayroon bang jeepney outside PAL terminal na going to MOA, or you would suggest that i take the shuttle to T3 to Rotonda and dun na sumakay papuntang MOA?
17 March 2012 13:17
@ Levi, i would suggest po na you take the shuttle to T3 then to Baclaran unloading area and then sakay po kyo ng multi-cab turned jeepney na MOA ang ruta sa kanto po ng roxas blvd at redemptorist in front of max's.
23 March 2012 10:30
How can I go to Manila Domestic Terminal 4? Is there an airport shuttle beside Hotel Sogo? thanks po :)
23 March 2012 11:52
@ Jhen, at NAIA Shuttle terminal in Pasay Rotunda, ask the driver if you could get off the shuttle bus that will be coming from NAIA-3. If he answered yes, ride the shuttle, alight at Terminal 3 and ride another shuttle bus bound for Terminal 1 and alight at Domestic Airport aka Terminal 4.
23 March 2012 17:56
Anun pong mga bus schedules? Tnx
23 March 2012 18:23
Bale every 30 minutes po may umaalis.
25 March 2012 08:50
hi,
If I need to transit from terminal 1 to terminal 3 landing in T1 9:55am departing from T3 12:20pm (2:25 hrs gap) what would be the fastest way to do it? shuttle bus or taxi? and is it possible at all....?
Thanks.
25 March 2012 12:14
I think in this case that you don't have enough time just take a taxi. I recommend to ride cab outside departure level. Once you are outside arrival, climb the stair and ride a taxi that drop off a flying passenger.
10 April 2012 10:21
very helpful article but i could not find info on shuttle or travel from terminal 3 direct to terminal 2 w/o passing terminal 1. we arrive at terminal 3 around 5 am, and PAL flight from terminal 2 will be 8am. what is the best way to get from terminal 3 to 2? thanks for any info
10 April 2012 23:04
@ seatku9, sorry NAIA Shuttle Bus doesn't go directly to Terminal 2 from 3. That's their route. If you need to get to Terminal 2 quickly, my suggestion is to take a taxi. :)
14 April 2012 07:41
ask q lng po sna qng my naia shuttle bus n dumadaan s ortigas going to naia terminal 1??tnx
14 April 2012 10:31

This is a great blogspot. I do have a question regarding routes in Manila since it's my first time to go there. I'll be staying in Malate and if it's okay with you, how can I get there from NAIA 3? I don't know anyone there and I've been searching for directions in the web until I found your blogspot. Please help me coz my flight will be this coming Friday. Thank you.
25 April 2012 02:09
@ nAtrose. I wanna give you the most convenient and inexpensive way to get to Malate. First, you ride the shuttle bus to Pasay Rotunda terminal. But before I can give you the second direction, can you please tell me where exactly in Malate are you going?
25 April 2012 22:11
Hello Lagalag, sorry for the late response. It's in M. Adriatico St., Malate, Manila. That is the place where I am going to. Thanks for the first direction.
26 April 2012 00:51
@ nAtrose. I suggest that you alight from shuttle bus at Heritage Hotel where you can ride a taxi to M. Adriatico. Ask the driver to drop you off at Heritage Hotel. Don't go to Pasay Rotunda terminal. It's too crowded and there are some bad elements in that area such as pickpockets, snatchers, holdapers and the like. Flagdown rate of Metro Manila taxi is Php 40 and additional Php 3.50 for every 300 meters thereafter.
26 April 2012 14:24
Thank you for the detailed directions. It helps a lot. Keep up the good work.
26 April 2012 15:57
@ nAtrose. You are welcome :)

Mr Blogger, tanong po if galing po ako ng clark either sasakay ako ng Victory Liner or Five star Bus going pasay san po ba ako pwede bumaba papunta ng terminal ng airport shuttle bus...thank you in advance
7 May 2012 21:46
@ emjay.
8 May 2012 01:55
Thank you Mr Blogger, as i was reading some topics/question i've realized the shuttle bus operates only from 6am to 10pm..my upcoming scheduled flight is 4:35am and i'll probably leave 11pm from Clark..hmm can you help po san ako pwede sumakay ng taxi na mkamura po ako if i ride Five Star Bus...Thank you po ulit..
8 May 2012 13:03
@ emjay.
8 May 2012 20:44
Thank you ulit Mr Blogger psnsya na po for late reply...Ive noticed po kc na pg sa terminal ng busses bumaba at mg hire ng taxi papuntang airport d na cla ng me metro instead ngbbgay cla ng price menu nila..
9 May 2012 20:10
@ emjay. Kung may pangaabuso po kyong maranasan sa pagsakay ninyo ng taxi, "report abusive taxi drivers to the LTFRB Hotline (0921) 448-7777 or the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) Hotline 7890."
from Modus Operandi in Metro Manila Taxi Cabs
9 May 2012 20:58
uu nga ei kya nga bumababa aq sa taxi khit nka takbo na sya at kapag ganun yong bnibgay na price menu..Thank you for sharing the other blogs about taxi drivers modus operandi..this is really scary..hay ala na tlgang safe...oh btw m a Ms po not Sir..Thanks for sharing a lot..God bless

@ emjay.
16 May 2012 23:07
good day sir. thank you for the very informative article.
yung shuttle pa po ba from terminal 1 to terminal 3 restricted lang to arriving passengers? if yes, meron po bang shuttle bus na pwede sa general public?
thanks!
17 May 2012 07:45
@ shedisavip. :)
7 June 2012 14:53
Can I ask directions on how to get to a bus terminal bound for Laoag from NAIA Terminal 3? It will be my second time in Manila but first time to travel solo and will be my first in Ilocos, too. My ETA is 7:10 AM with AirPhil. Thanks a bunch. :-)
7 June 2012 21:25
@ charesma. You can take Partas Bus with its terminal in Tramo aka Aurora Blvd Pasay. Ride the NAIA shuttle bus from NAIA-3 and alight at Pasay Rotunda Terminal. Then take a jeepney with "Nichols" sign. The jeep will turn right onto Tramo from EDSA and Partas Bus is located along Tramo near EDSA. Please ask the driver to drop you off at either Five Star Bus or Partas. They are located next to each other. Hope my reply helps you find your way. :)
10 June 2012 02:53
Hi po. This is my first time in Manila kaya kahit anong information binabasa ko. Ang ganda mo ng blog nyo! Tanong ko lang po kong ok lang ba mag stay sa T3 for couple of hours? Kasi 10:45pm po yong dating ko sa T1 then the earliest flight sa Cebu Pacific ay 4:10am. Ok lang ba mag stay don while waiting for my flight?
Maraming Salamat po^____^
10 June 2012 10:53
@ Unknown. :)
11 June 2012 11:28
how about the non-arriving passenger who's only purpose is to fetch the arriving passenger can we also ride the shuttle bus?
11 June 2012 12:27
Maraming salamat po, Mr. Lagalag. This is such a big help. :-)
12 June 2012 17:46
@ charesma. Wala pong anuman, pki plus one nlang hehe
12 June 2012 17:48
@ naglalambingnacute. Pwedeng pwede po :)
16 June 2012 09:39
16 June 2012 10:54
17 June 2012 18:24
i love this! thanks! mabuhay ka.
17 June 2012 20:54
@ thinktank. You are welocme po. Salamat din. :)
27 June 2012 15:46
Hi sir! thanks for this blog, very informative one. Pano po commute from NAIA Terminal 3 to Victory Liner Pasay Terminal? Arrival ko po in Manila is 3am. Many thanks po.. +1 done..
27 June 2012 17:59
@ jonz.
10 July 2012 01:11
Wow, I didn't know NAIA offers a shuttle service. I +1-ed and bookmarked you already.
I've some silly questions... Terminal 1 is the same as NAIA-1, right? And the NAIA Shuttle Bus is different from the NAIA Shuttle Van? Is the purple van in the photo, the NAIA Shuttle Van?
Also, is P20 a fixed rate even if you're just going from NAIA-1 to Baclaran, not all the way to MRT? Or from NAIA-1 to NAIA-3?
I read almost all the comments. You are very patient answering each and every question. Thank you so much. You don't know how much your article means to us permanent pedestrians. Super thank you!!!
10 July 2012 01:50
@ MM Jo. You are welcome and thank you too for the plus and bookmark.
Yes Terminal 1 and NAIA-1 aka NAIA are the same. NAIA Shuttle has two fleets - shuttle buses and shuttle vans. From Pasay Rotunda Terminal, it's the shuttle bus that takes passengers to T3. From T3 to T1 mostly are vans, as well as from T1 to T2 and from T2 to T3. With regards to the purple van, it's belong to Resort World Manila. You can also ride that one.
Yes the fare is fixed regardless of where you're getting off the shuttle. You need to pay per ride, yes.
I am very happy to be of help. Thanks also for your appreciation. :)
10 July 2012 14:24
lagalag! :-)
Amazing!Fantastic!
this has been very very helpful,i am going to meet up with my cousin at T3 tomorrow who has a connecting flight to zambo. i thought of the fare im gona pay to ride a taxi vs 2jeepney rides to edsa then mrt and bus..id rather inhale the pollution than to pay 300 for a one way cab ride.
two thumbs up for you and for the blog!if i had extra thvmbs id raise en too! :-P
10 July 2012 15:26
@ Countess. Thanks for that nice words. No need for another thumb up though. LOL. Just a plus on Goolge+ would be highly appreciated.
But if you've already clicked the plus one button above, don't click it again, your plus will be deflected. Just one click, ok? Cheers! :)
10 July 2012 18:48
Lagalag!
I have questions in mind. I am residing near Espana, Sampaloc Manila. Eventually would be working with resorts world if granted. What would be the best way to commute w/out riding the free shuttle van bec it is exempt for employees?
or can i also consider going to city hall post office and take taxi from there(for convenience's sake) Approx how much is the taxi fare and travel time if ever? :)
ilove this post. ur a blessing in disguise :)
10 July 2012 20:31
@ Chazel Sze. Ok before I answer your question, I'd like you to know that I need to confirm what I've learned about NAIA Shuttle Bus serving some RWM employees too. I'll double check by going there and get the facts. Then I will make some updates.
Here's my answer. If exorbitant taxi fare is not an issue to you, then riding a cab is not bad idea. But I think Manila City Hall is way too far. You can take cab in Gil Puyat or Libertad. It's hard to take taxi in Pasay Rotunda.
For cheaper commuting, here's my suggestion: Take a jeep with "Pedro Gil PGH" sign, alight at UN Ave. Ride a LRT Train bound for Baclaran, alight at EDSA Station. Use the footbridges and go to EDSA side where Sogo Hotel is located. Then ride a jeep with "Nichols Terminal 3" sign. Get off the jeep at "Star Cruise Buiding", the reference point of drivers and passengers in going to Resort World Manila.
If you don't prefer the train, you can ride a jeep with "Baclaran" sign all the way to EDSA.
For complete guide on commuting to Resort World Manila, please go to How To Commute To Newport City & Resort World Manila
Hope my direction helps you. :)
10 July 2012 22:48
ok i'll try these route or might find the nearest train station on our area going to edsa.i will explore this. thanks :)
10 July 2012 23:56
@ Chazel Sze. You are always welcome. :)
25 July 2012 21:52
Galing po ng terminal 2 arrival 4:15pm, may susunduin sa terminal 1 ng 6:20pm same day, san po magandang tumambay muna while waiting?
25 July 2012 23:24
@ rats arfaz.
the post is not only very helpful, very well written pa.
6 August 2012 12:30
applause to quick responses..very very helpful page. i'll be in manila tomorrow. glad to have directed to this post by google..(plus 1)
6 August 2012 12:36
@ Xtinism.
6 August 2012 13:52
@ aNciEnt aNd nOw. Thank you po sa applause hehe. Just joined Google Plus few days ago, kaya eto pa lang ang nasa automatic post dun. Nice to hear that you got here via Google+.
14 October 2012 22:55
Is the shuttle bus for free?
How to transfer from International Airport going to Domestic Airport bound for Tagbilaran, Bohol?
14 October 2012 23:10
@ Michael Limbago. Sir, may I request your good self to please read the full article as all your questions are answered in this guide. If not, please read the updated direction by going here -> NAIA 1-2-3-4 Shuttle Bus Updates.
17 October 2012 16:53
sir, ask ko lng what is the cheapest na pwede sakyan kung arrival ko sa terminal 2 @ 9:30pm?
18 October 2012 11:58
@ bhing.
6 November 2012 01:04
hi, from naia3 min shuttle towards resorts world? o pede na lakarin? thanks po
6 November 2012 10:22
9 November 2012 20:18
Hi Mr. Lag Alag,
Thanks for this very informative post!
I was trying to look for answers about my concern and hope you could help. It might go beyond the airport boundaries but still wishing you could help.
Actually, we're bound to TESDA, Taguig which is just a few kilometers away from NAIA-3 (per Google Map) but we booked a flight in PAL due to a cheaper deal compared to CebuPacific. In short, we'll be arriving at NAIA-2. Per Direction#5, we can transfer from NAIA-2 to NAIA-3 via NAIA Shuttle Bus and intend to take a taxi from there going to our destination.
With this route in mind, I'm thinking if this is the cheaper way since it only cost Php 20.00 (shuttle fare) + taxi fare (not sure if it would cost Php 100 or more since it's very near from there). But with baggage on hand, would it be better to take a taxi from NAIA-2 directly to TESDA in Taguig?
Hope you could lend me your perspective about this and could share to me some of your recommendations. By the way, we'll go there in group of six.
Thanks!
9 November 2012 22:10
@ bhon21. Hi! My pleasure to be of help. Definitely, it's NAIA-3 where you should take a taxi to TESDA. NAIA-2 is at the middle of T-1 and T-3 and if you take taxi from T-2, the cabbie will drive past T-3 on your way to TESDA and I'm sure it's not the way to go if you want to save some cash.
Now in NAIA-3, the best way to get a taxi that don't charge extra is to go up the frontage of Departure Area. You can use any stairways there. Wait for a taxi that drops flying passengers and get aboard that taxi.
Don't take any airport yellow taxi at the Arrival of NAIA-3 as those taxis not only charge high on flag down rate but their meters run fast too.
Also, avoid taxis by the roadside. Most of those drivers are crooks.
The ones that take flying passengers are regular taxis and drivers are happy that they don't leave the airport without any passengers so they don't cheat. Nevertheless, make sure that the driver uses the meter as soon as he speeds away.
10 November 2012 15:43
Hi Mr. Lag Alag
Thank you so much for your prompt reply.
We'll take your tips.
Hope this type of scenario will also help others.
More power to you sir! As well to this blog. :)

@ bhon21. You are welcome. And thank you so much as well :)
17 November 2012 13:42
hi Sir! thank God for this blog for a neophyte traveler like me. I would like to ask you on how to get to Terminal 1 from Terminal 4. please specify approximate travel time from the two terminals. I am from Davao and will arrive at Terminal 4 and need to fetch my husband at Terminal 1. please advice sir. thanks and more power!
17 November 2012 14:26
@ Teng tac-al. Hello madam, NAIA shuttles don't stop at Terminal 4 on the way to T-1. The best thing to do po is to take a taxi to Terminal 1. Depending on traffic, it might take you around 15 to 20 minutes or so. For some important updates regarding NAIA Shuttles, please click the link I have given on the post above. You are welcome, madam, and thank you as well.

17 December 2012 22:39
@ Adrian.

Hi Mr.Lag alag...thanks for your big help about direction in NAIA airport. We will arrive at terminal 3, 11.00 pm. we are 8 (kids and old people) could you tell me the best way to go to Manila Youth hostel Tomas Claudio St., Baclaran. Thanks again.
10 March 2013 20:52
@ terus jalan dan makan. Given the arrival time, the best way is to take taxi. My tip is to go up the departure entrance and take cabs there, the ones which drop flying passengers. Don't take cabs outside arrival because they charge way too high.
17 March 2013 02:45
Thanks Mr. Lag alag...your blog such a daily readings for me before I go to your country, its a very big help, my best regards from Indonesia. NIDA.

15 April 2013 03:44
Good day Mr. Lag alag,
I've read your post about getting around NAIA terminals 1-2-3. It has been of great help to us who don't know where to go and what to take. I just have one thing to clarify though regarding shuttle loading station in Terminal 1, is it gonna be in the arrival area or in the departure area? I'll be heading to Terminal 3 for my next flight. You clearly said that it operates 24 hours a day and its a good thing since I'll be arriving in Manila at 2330H. Thanks and hope to hear from you soon. =)
15 April 2013 17:26
@thelonetravelercarl. Sir, please read the post that followed this article. Kindly follow the link I have given above for the update where direction to the shuttle bus bay at T1 is written. Thank you so much.

@ Kristine Dioquino.
15 May 2013 18:36
